For when your nails need a little tlc.

A friend of mine gave me a gift set of Martha Hill nail products several years ago and I’m still using them Included in the set was this nourishing nail oil.

      ~~What is it?~~
The oil comes in a small 25 ml bottle. It is a mix sweet almond, linseed, olive and wheatgerm oils with patchouli and shea butter. It strengthens and hardens damaged nails encouraging healthy growth.

      ~~How to use~~
      The directions are:
Apply a few drops of oil to a cotton pad and gently massage into nails and cuticles. It comes with a set of very thin pads to apply but actually I tend to put a small drop on each finger and rub in by hand.

      ~~Does it work?~~
My manicurist swears by Jessica Phenomen Oil to hydrate nails and boost strong growth. I think this does a very similar and just as good a job. . I use it at night to allow it to soak in while I sleep and I have to say it is very effective. It visibly makes dry nails less brittle and my nails seem stronger when I remember to use it regularly.

~~For those who like to know~~
The full list of ingredients is: Prunus amagdalus dulcis (sweet almond oil), Linum usitatissimum (linseed oil), Olea europea (olive oil), Triticum vulgare (wheatgerm), Pogostemon cablin (patchouli).

Martha Hill is a Peterborough based company started by Martha Hill, It’s an interesting story actually. Martha Hill was a successful fashion designer in the 60s and 70s and she started to sell her herbal beauty products from her London shops. When she retired, she developed her products further and when she retired she sold her products direct from her home. Martha died in 2004 at the age of 93 but her business continues. It has retained her belief in natural herbal ingredients and simple packaging.

      ~~Where to buy~~
Martha Hill products are available from www.beautynaturals.com. The oil is currently on special offer - £3.35 reduced from £5.

      ~~Recommended~~
Yes. This oil is great for anyone whose nails need a little TLC. 5/5

I have long nails and I like to keep them in a tip top condition the best way I possibly can and I take care of them and love it when I buy a new nail polish and apply it to my nails, especially when I have done my treatment on them, and this nail nourishing oil is a brilliant oil to treat the nails perfectly.

It comes in a small plastic bottle and it is priced at only £5 for 25ml, and it has a top that can be removed, the oil inside is a very soft texture, it is not too thick, it is just the right thickness to place on a pad, and it is not runny or too tacky.

I just put a couple of drops of the oil onto a cotton wool ball or pad and I just rub it gently into each nail and I work it into the bottom of the nail especially, and it dries quite quickly, it does not take too many applications of the oil to improve them, my nails were not too good a condition when I first started using this oil for my nails, and after about 4 applications, they improved tremendously, and I often used to have split nails down the middle, and the oil strengthened them in a short time, I was expecting it to take around a month to work but I really could see the difference very quickly.

My mum first bought me this one to try about 5 months ago and I had tried quite a few other ones, some of which I was happy with but since I had started using Martha Hill products, I was happy when my mum bought me some.

My nails have improved and I use this on a regular basis now, and I had often used Vaseline on my nails to improve them and it did work quite well too but it was a little greasy and used to use gloves for bed when applying the Vaseline but with this one I can just go to sleep and it is absolutely fine and is dry.

This oil has stopped my nails from breaking less easily and it has improved them from breaking when I catch them on something, and they are much stronger than they were before I started using it.

The oil conditions the nails to make them more stronger, and with regular use, the nails become much more stronger and have less chance of breaking.

The key ingredients are Linseed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Wheat germ oil, and Patchouli, all natural ingredients.

The bottle size lasts quite a long time as only a little is needed at a time, and the quality is a very good one and it works perfect for my nails, and I do recommend it to anyone who is having a problem with their nails and for only £5, it is quite cheap in my opinion and I am almost coming to the end of my bottle after 5 months or so and so it a good value for money item.

The first time I used this and applied my nail polish, the brush felt much smoother over the nail as this oil seemed to be coated over it, and I could feel the nail felt a little harder than usual.

I give this one 5 stars and I will buy it in the future when the bottle I have already is empty.
