Advantages: softens quickly
Disadvantages: multiple steps invovled
Mary Kay's Satin Hands is the best thing I have ever used on my hands. It is 4 steps, but can be done in 2 minutes, and is worth the effort. The first step is massaging the Extra Emollient night cream into the hands. This is very greasy - but penetrates and softens so well. Step two is rubbing the body buffing cream over the night cream. This buffs away the rough areas of skin - acts as an exfoliator. On top of both of these, Step 3 adds the Cleansing gel. Add just a touch of water and this rinses everything away. You can feel how much softer your hands are at this point. The 4th step is using the hand cream. The hand cream finishes the softening and seals in the moisture. Using Satin Hands a couple of times a week will really help get rid of rough spots, and your hands will feel soft all day. For a real treat, use it daily! I use it on my feet, too, with the same results. This is especially nice in the warm weather to get ready for wearing sandals. One draw back is the number of steps, but it really can be done in just a couple of minutes, and the number of steps has never kept me from deciding to "do it later". I like this product better than any handcream I have ever tried, but I can't say I have tried any other multiple-step system. Actually, I have never seen another system with steps like this. I would probably try one to compare, if I ran across any. The cost is 24.00 and last several months when used a couple of times a week.
