Advantages: Adapts to your skin tone, easy to apply, good range of shades

Disadvantages: It is expensive, not great as evening wear make up

I have been searching for the 'perfect' foundation for a very long time. I have to confess that I am not an expert with make-up and also haven't got enough time in the mornings to spend ages applying make up, so I want a foundation which is easy to apply and matches my skin tone. I have tried many foundations and have in the past bought the latest ones from Rimmel, L'Oreal, Maybelline etc but none have done the job, as some have been greasy, caused spots/dry patches and made me look Orange.

I have finally found my perfect match, Max Factor Colour Adapt in the shade of 'natural'. Max Factor Colour Adapt is a creamy liquid based foundation and comes in a 34 ml pump dispenser, so you only need a couple of small squirts for an even coverage. This foundation glides on smoothly, making your skin feel silky, blends any imperfections, evens skin tone, is oil-free, doesn't have a nasty smell and lasts for quite a while.

The foundation adapts to your skin tone as the foundation contains colour adapting particles. Other foundations tend to only have one colour, however in Max Factor's Colour Adapt the particles pick up and reflect the colour of the underlying skin and adapts to your skin's natural colour variations - this is what makes the skin look flawless. I use the foundation on it's own and have never bothered with base foundations or loose powders, however you could use these in addition to Colour Adapt if you want your make up to look flawless for much longer.

Max Factor Colour Adapt is available in the following shades (from lightest to darkest): creamy ivory, warm almond, blushing beige, natural, golden, bronze, caramel, toffee and soft sable.

Colour Adapt makes my skin look natural and the best thing about this product is that the shades don't make you look orange or look like you have gone a bit OTT with the foundation. Colour Adapt is also easy to remove with plain old soap and water, so there is no need to buy fancy make-up remover as it is oil-free. The foundation is also moisturising, yet doesn't cause me to have blemishes or spots.

A few disadvantages about Colour Adapt are: the price at £11.95 could do with being a little cheaper, the foundation doesn't contain any sunscreen and although Colour Adapt is great for day wear, I find that it starts to loose it's 'flawless' look as an evening wear foundation (it could have something to do with being in a hot atmosphere if you are in pubs/clubs), but please don't let this put you off.

I no longer have to waste my money on other foundations as this matches my skin tone perfectly and for me Max Factor Colour Adapt is the best foundation yet.

Thanks for reading xx

I use so many different foundations. I will invest in this one in future. The price may be a bit dear but it will be for a good foundation
