Advantages: Blends perfectly, looks so natural
Disadvantages: Quite expensive, lid pops off quite easy
I originally tried this make up when I was round my friend's house getting ready for a night out. I was so impressed with the results that I decided to go out and by myself my own bottle.
About Maxfactor Colour Adapt
Colour Adapt is a breakthrough technology that contains unique colour adapting particles. These particles pick up and reflect the colour of the underlying background, or in this case, your skin. Colour Adapt contains more than one colour pigment. These pigments adapt to your skins natural colour variations. Flawless coverage that fit's your personal colour palette like a glove and that it certainly does, I have never come across a make up that looks so natural.
Packaging
The bottle itself is quite a nice design with a pump through which you squirt the foundation out. The only problem with this pump is that you might not necessarily get the best use out of the bottle as I don't think the pump reaches the bottom of the bottle. The lid is white and see through pops on and off easily, sometimes a bit too easily so if you pop it in your bag, it can come off easily so you need to be careful not to lose it. Max Factor Colour Adapt is written across the front of the bottle. The colour of the foundartion is written underneath the Max Factor Logo.
Price
This is the one downfall of this foundation, its quite expensive at £11.95 for 35ml. I don't actually wear make up that often so this bottle lasts me a very long time. Although I am not sure how long it would last if you were wearing it every day.
Applying It And The Effect
The texture of this foundation is so smooth, almost silky! It spreads over my skin so nicely and blends into my natural skin tone with ease.
Before applying the foundation, I always shake the bottle to try and make sure that all the foundation will come out evenly. Push down on the pump and a squirt of the foundation will come out onto your hand. I find that 2-3 pumps on the bottle provides me with enough foundation to fully cover my face.
This foundation gives such a natural coverage and the foundation itself is quite light when you are applying it to your skin. going on.
The coverage I get from this foundation is the best I have ever experienced, covering most blemishes, and my little patches of exzema that I get sometimes. This foundation doesn't leave any streaking, lines or anything at all to show that I am wearing foundation.
I often have rosy pink cheeks and with previous foundations that I have worn, I just look pale as they cover my natural skin tone. With this clour adapt foundation, it allows my natural skin colour to come through underneath the foundation so it really does look so natural, I cant emphasise how natural this looks unless you actually try it yourself.
Variety Of Shades
The shades are quite limited but I still manage to find a colour that suits my skin shade perfectly. The following shades are included in the range:
1.40 Creamy Ivory
2.50 Porcelain
3.55 Blushing Nude
4.60 Sand
5.70 Natural
6.75 Golden
7.80 Bronze
Summary
I would certainly recommend this foundation to anyone. It gives perfect coverage and looks so natural so you will not look like you have spent hours trowling on the makeup. Ok, it is a little expensive, but in my mind it is well worth the money for the brilliant results that you achieve when using it.
