Advantages: Nice colour match, easy application, good finish
Disadvantages: Expensive, can rub off easily
I'm always trying to find a perfect match for my very fair skin tone and tend to find that around half of the foundations I try tend to leave my pasty skin an orange cakey mess. This foundation has been one of the best for matching skin tone as well as giving great coverage.
PACKAGING:
This foundations comes in quite a large plastic bottle which looks relatively sophisticated with it's black and white design but has a plasticky feel to it. The bottle is made of plastic and features a clear lid with a large white pump at the top of the bottle.
It contains 34ml of product which is a little more than average but I feel that the size of the bottle was more down to it's mousse like air whipped consistency. It dispenses a good amount of product easily.
PRODUCT/CONSISTENCY/SMELL:
The colour foundation I bought was creamy ivory which is the lightest shade. When I first pumped out the foundation I was worried it may be a little too dark but it did look much lighter when applied.
The foundation is of an odd consistency, a sort of mousse like creamy foundation that I really liked. It can feel a little heavy on the skin due to this mousse-y consistency but it gives good coverage and really smooths out the skin.
This foundation doesn't have a particular smell, it is certainly not fragranced and if anything just had a sort of lotion like smell, nothing amazing but who smells your face anyway?
APPLICATION:
I found that this foundation applied really easily with no problems whatsoever. It glides onto the skin without needing excessive scrubbing into the skin and blends really easily.
I personally used my fingers or a buffing brush to apply this foundation as I found that foundation brushes and sponges didn't blend the foundation as well into the skin. I found that the foundation could leave dryer parts of the face looking peely, but providing you don't have very dry skin and exfoliate and moisturise before applying the foundation it looks great.
MY THOUGHTS:
I personally really like this foundation. The colour blends really easily and leaves lovely medium coverage which can be easily built up. It leaves a lovely matt finish which means I'm not left with a horrible shiny, greasy looking face like other foundations that cannot be worn without a matt powder.
On the other hand, it is quite costly at around £11.99, can leave dry skin peeling slightly and can rub off quite easily. Providing that you use a moisturiser and possibly use a primer and setting powder these last two issues don't cause much of a problem anyway.
The benefits certainly outweigh the negatives when it comes to this foundation and I love the results I personally get with the foundation. I'd definitely recommend it.
Summary: Expensive but worth it for the coverage
