Advantages: Easy to use, no sharpening and lasts ages and ages, comes off easy. It just is perfecton lol

Disadvantages: None at all.

I don't know about you (if your a woman lol) but I get inspired by magazines and celebs on the television when I see them wearing make up that is a little unusual. For ages now as a 33 year old I keep very much 'in the zone' when it comes to buying and using make up. I'm conventional. All the basics, black eyeliner and mascara, maybe a little more daring on the lips but that's it for me, I don't particularly want to stick out like a sore thumb at my age lol. I have a routine!

However then I see a celeb or someone with more, dare I say some pizzazz! Bright green and blue eye make up etc and my Mum will say yeah but they are on skating on ice or they're Girls Aloud on the stage and your 33 in Coventry. Undeterred though I'm always up for trying out new looks and half time even though I'm a trained beauty therapist I do struggle with the glamour puss approach lol I've looked like Coco the clown on more occasions than I haven't and recoil in horror at some of the photos of me!

However I've always loved blue eye make up and back in the 90s it got banished to the dustbin after being told blue eye make up and mascara was out and to move on to the brown phase and then the silver phase that came in. Was a sad day when I filled up my wheelie bin of all me blues and my bright red lipsticks so I was so happy when I saw blue eye make up is back with avengence and even the right colour red is too for the lips woohoo! So off I trotted well chuffed to Boots like a kid at Christmas lol

Now I bought alot of different blue eye make up to celebrate but the one thing I've never used is a blue eyeliner. As I stated I was a fan of the blue eye shadow and the blue mascara but I'm well aware of over doing the whole look and looking like a Dallas extra so I'm not fully exploiting this new make up look...lol

So all I wanted is some nice blue eyeshadow and some nice blue eyeliner for now (till people get used to this blue look I will not be introducing the mascara...yet!!!! lol).

Now I have very sensitive eyes. I know that people say this just because as woman for some reason we are expected to! However I really do. My eyes love an excuse to be sore and they will be wet in 0-60 with even the most gentle of formula eye make up removers. So when I buy eye make up of any kind I'm really careful cos there is nothing worse than spending ages on creating a look to have it ruined at the last minute and trust me blue eye make in particular looks terrible with bloodshot eyes! lol

So when I purchase eye make up I tend to stick to brands I know and love. Make up brands that cost a little bit more but don't hurt or irritate me in any way as I cant go round itching my eyeballs cos of smudging (that's happened too!) lol

I do like Max Factor make up. As I said earlier I'm 33 and they, to me make classic, more mature make up and I've never had a problem with anything Max Factor.

What It Is....

Max Factor, Colour Perfection Eyeliner.
Mechanical Eyeliner, Precision Eyeliner.

The Packaging....

Well it's a pencil shape in a steel grey with the colour on the end (in my case blue) and has a silver push on/off lid. On the pencil is silver writing clearly telling me what it is and who it is made by and the colour etc. I'm also told the manufacturer is Procter & Gamble and given the contact details for them.

Using It....

When you pull the lid off you are greeted by the colour you have bought. To use it you twist the end up or down to get your colour out so no need to sharpen it...ever!

The colour itself is not like a hard pencil so you don't find it drags across your eyelids. It's a more creamy formula than that but still not thick or heavy at all. It glides on in a thin line and you have the option to make that line thicker if you so desire. It doesn't go on wet and you can touch it straight away with your finger and no transfer at all.

The colour itself is very vibrant and this isn't the only colour in the range and I have used others and they are all great. The colour stays on until you take it off and it removes very easily with cleanser and toner or eye make up remover or wipes.

Personally I really love Max Factor Eyeliners. For someone like me they are perfect in every way. They are none irritant and taking it off is a breeze so my sensitive eyes don't hurt at all. I have found with some make up that if I live any remnants on my mistake at the end of the day that my eyelid has become puffy and squidgy and so it coming off easy is a relief to me. Even though it comes off easy it's a nice heavy duty eyeliner with no fuss and complete staying power! It's a must if you have trouble trusting your make up to stay put and you have sensitive eyes!

Colours Available....

Black
Brown
Khaki
Charcoal Grey
Ice Blue
Olive

Price....

£4.99 per 'pencil' in Boots but can be found in other shops as well.

Summary: I wouldn't want to be without it!
