I have been using this compact for over 6 years, and I could not go a day without using it. Max Factor Facefinity can be used in different ways, whether that be to set your foundation like a powder would if you like good coverage, or even just on its own as a foundation and powder combined because the coverage this product provides it very good and lasts. I like to use mine over my foundation as I like a thicker coverage usually, however when I go on holiday I use this just on its own and find it covers very well on its own. I highly recommend Max Factor Facefinity and find it very good value as it lasts a very long time due to not needing to use much on each application.
I have received a lot of compliments and I am often asked what make-up I use, most of my friends have now started to use this compact also. It is well worth the £11 I pay for this.
Love this powder, might even go so far as to say this is my holy grail powder foundation. It has great coverage for a powder, and says on my face pretty well all day, a little oil starts coming through by midday, but i just use blotting paper or translucent powder, or even some tissue and it's fine again. The only down side is the colours, I use 01 (the lightest) and it's still a little dark, but I'm prepared to put up with this because the powder itself is so good.
The packaging is decent, could be a little more creative, but it does have a nice big mirror inside. I love the high coverage it provides and I sometimes just use this on 'good skin' days instead of caking on the foundation and then this high coverage powder. It is a little pricey but it is a good product.
Its the only foundation I have used. !
*It makes my skin look flawless,
*Leaves a silky matt finish,
*Is easy to apply,
*Leaves an amazing finish,
*Contains the less chemicals and irritants than other,
*I use 2 months about 2 times a day and I still have more than 40%, so in my opinion is very economical.
With this foundation you can get a natural or full coverage how you like it. Your face feels smooth and soft. But if you have dry skin I recommend you apply moisturizing cream to your face five - ten minutes before you use, because it does not look good with dry skin.
The packaging is awesome and looks exactly like in the picture. Inside is soft sponge and mirror.
In my opinion, Max Factor make wonderful products and this is best face products.
Overall very, very good value for money.
I buy this item once every 2-3 months and wear it every day so it is very much worth the money, I usually pay around £11 at my local department store.
I apply over my normal foundation for a perfect finish and it works every time making your skin appear flawless. I have received many comments from various people asking which product I use because the results really are that good.
It does tend to wear off after a few hours so if you're going to be out for a while I would take it with you for a quick touch up if needed.
It feels extremely light, not at all cloggy like a lot of similar products and the mirror in the compact is large enough to see your whole face at one time to ensure perfect coverage. Comes in an array of shades to suit all skin tones.
I recently ran out of the no7 foundation I'd been using for quite a while. I had a backup foundation back from Summer but upon applying to my horror I realised that due to our long lasting winter and lack of real summer as of yet the foundation looked a rather delightful shade of orange on my skin.
I don't really like to buy makeup off the internet, preferring to try it on my wrist first. I've got pretty pale skin so sometimes even the palest shades come up a little orangey on me. I have to get the shade 01-Porcelain. If we're lucky and have somewhat of a summer I have to get the next shade up but to maintain a tan I need less than a week of bad weather in between sun which doesn't happen all that often in the lovely UK! I'd tried this a good few months back though and got on really well with it. Unfortunately 2/3 of the way through using it I dropped it out my bag onto a hard floor. The foundation all cracked and started leaking through it so I moved on to a different foundation.
The foundation comes in a thin compact that fits easily into your handbag. The lid is a dull gold, not as shiny as the picture shows. It has the Max Factor logo on the bottom of this in brighter gold letters. The bottom of the compact is black and the back has a sticker which details you of what it is, the SPF (15), the colour you purchased (handy if like me you sometimes have to purchase a darker shade when good weather strikes), the ingredients, company address, the weight (10g) etc.
Inside you have a handy mirror (always good when out and about), the foundation (obviously) and a nice little sponge. Underneath where you keep the sponge are lots of little holes I assume this is to keep the sponge fresh and keep moisture out. It was its peril when I accidentally dropped my last one though as it also provided nice little leaky holes!
The sponge does make application easy but do remember to wash or replace the sponge to avoid growth of bacteria!
The foundation gives great coverage, I don't often need to apply concealer afterwards. It's great for those with oily skin or the tendency to get a bit "shiny" as it leaves you with a nice matte finish.
Although it is a powder unless you really cover yourself it doesn't leave you with a powdery, cakey look that some cheaper products can do. It has a slightly creamy feel to it I've found.
It claims to give coverage all day. I wouldn't say it lasts all day without any touch ups but could probably just manage 9am-5pm unless that day involves you getting particularly sweaty! Not that its much of an issue considering it fits so easily in your bag and has a mirror in it.
The price varies depending on where you get it. When I first purchased this I believe it was somewhere around the £10 mark in Boots. More recently though I got it from Amazon and it only set me back £7.33.
It lasts a pretty long time because you don't need all that much- which is something I've found with other Max Factor foundations too.
All in all its definitely one I'd order again, I'm not sure why I didn't order when my last broke- most likely low on cash then just made do with what I had and forgot! I'd say this foundation is the closest I've come to the air brushed skin look!
Only drawback is (like with many foundations) it will show up your dry skin if you have any.
I have been buying and using Maxfactor Facefinity compact foundation for a number of years now and I highly recommend it. The design is excellent, fits in my handbag nicely and comes with a handy mirror and a sponge to apply it with. I use it every day and it lasts for a couple of months which I think is great value for money. It is £10.99 from Boots and comes in a number of different shades. I would recommend this for people with oily skin as it leaves a Matt finish.
I use a tinted moisturiser as a base coat and then apply the Maxfactor Facefinity. It goes on very smoothly and leaves a great complexion. When applying you need to make sure that you don't apply too much as it can look heavy.
I found it to come in handy when I was out for the evening and I saw that I was looking rather shiny (sweaty), I whipped out the foundation, applied and viola shine has vanished!
Overall a fabulous foundation and no negatives!
