Advantages: Stays put
Disadvantages: poor coverage
I have bad skin. There, I've said it. So now you know. If I had good skin, I could save a fortune by not wearing foundation. But I don't. Do I? No. So an 'infinite' foundation certainly alerted my notice. A foundation that stays all day? Hoorah Hooray and woop de doo! It was like entering a fairytale kingdom where I would finally be the beautiful princess my childhood promised me. But no. See if you want COVERAGE, then you'd better look elsewhere, because facefinity can't help you there. I was stupid, I bought it when I'd run out of foundation. ( And I NEVER run out of foundation). I believed the ads, I was mad. I put it on my face, and it seemedlike it would need another coat, so I had to either put none on or loads. And call me vain (because I am) but I would rather people thought "eurgh look at that foundation" than "eurgh look at that face". Unfortunately for me I worked in a shop at the time, now the customers wouldn't have cared if I'd had an extra head as long as I got those jackets down from the top shelf. However shop girls are a nasty bunch, and one of my colleagues was a permatanned orange-tidemarked beauty school student. I have very pale skin and normally foundation makes me about three shades darker than my neck and body, today thanks to the power of MaxFactor I matched, except with exposed blemishes highlighted by a ghostly halo. She proceeded to lecture me on make up. I very nearly throttled her. The girl was caked in fake tan and bronzer with clumped lashes. Dammit I wish I'd throttled her. I found that the product did smell, and I didn't find it pleasant. I've read from other reviewers that the smell was watermelon. This would explain it as it's one of my most revilled foods. I found that the product caked, probably because I applied more than they recommend, and also it was difficult to blend effectively without sacr
ificing coverage. It also dried my skin out in places. I had to wear this product for a few weeks and my skin seemed to suffer from it, possibly because it's delicately natured and sensitive. I expect that the skin would be prevented from breathing to a higher extent than from an average foundation because of the staying power. There were a wide range of colours which enabled me to match my face for once, even if I paid the price

- 11/02/03 Your work colleague sounds like a right cow - tell her she looks like she's been tangoed!
I've used the compact version of this foundation and really like it although it does not give total coverage (see my review). |

- 06/02/03 I wonder which marketing genius came up with the name 'facefinity'! |

- 05/02/03 OK, so I take it that you didn't like the foundation?! Makes me glad that I'm a man, really. |
