Advantages: great natural look to lashes, leaving them long

Just before heading off on holiday, I realised that my mascara was getting rather clumpy and really ought to be in the bin. I don't wear a lot of make up on a daily basis, and my lashes are already quite long and dark, however, when I am out for the evening, or simply want to look my best, I reach for the mascara.

Before I went on holiday, I had just received a dooyoo amazon voucher, and decided to use some of the money to invest in this max factor false lash effect mascara. I am usually a Maybelline girl through and through, and always felt max factor was a little out of my league in what I wanted to spend on make up, however I was pleasantly surprised to see amazon selling this mascara for just under £7, which compared to the prices charged for this product in Boots and elsewhere, is pretty reasonable.

This false lash effect mascara comes in 2 main colours - black, and brown/black, and there is also a waterproof edition of this product as well.

I opted for the black/brown, for the sheer reason that it was cheaper on amazon, the black was a couple of pounds more.

The product itself is quite fat, but it is still a good size to slot into your handbag. This fat shape however resembles the fat thick brush that is inside.

I found this mascara extremely easy to apply. It felt very light on my lashes, but mosst importantly gave them a true 'false lash effect'. My already quite long lashes looked like they had extended but naturally long at the same time, rather than clumpy and fake looking, and the best bit is that you don't actually to apply that much of it to create such an effect. I would therefore be very surprised if this mascara doesn't last me for quite a while.

Although I opted for the brown/black colour, I didn't notice any difference in the colour from my old all black mascara's.

The mascara is easy to remove at night, and I found that there was no smudges under my eyes during the day.

All in all, I am extremely impressed with this mascara, and would honestly say that it is one of the best mascara's I have used. I would find it difficult to return to some other brands of mascara after trying this, as I love the effect it creates with my lashes. I feel that it leaves them looking natural but long and fluttery at the same time. I great buy, especially when bought for a more reasonable price on amazon.
