Advantages: Brilliant coverage :)
Disadvantages: Expensive! :(
One of the best things about being a female only child is that I get loads of my mum's makeup, lol!
Ok some aren't very good that my mum has tried and didn't like but when she bought herself one of these and then her best friend bought her one from work (her friend works at Superdrug so gets a staff discount) I got the extra one as a gift, yay!
These cost around £11 at full price so they are really expensive but my mum and her friend swear by it so I thought I would try it and see what all the fuss is about...
The black plastic tube this 'Max Factor False Lash Effect' comes in looks like a fat and stubby torpedo and the writing is in silver. The makers are Procter & Gamble in Ireland and there are 13.1ml contents in the tube.
Once open it is recommended to use within six months and the product promises 'Full lashes, Natural Look'.
The main difference I saw when I opened the mascara was the wand and how chucky that was too. The brush looks like plastic rather than bristles and the applicator has pointy plastic teeth which are amazingly really good at coating my eyelashes!
The mascara is quite thick I thought when I tried it but really easy to put on, the applicator although chunky is really easy to use and quite accurate even though I'm not good at putting this stuff on...
I put one coat on at first and it looked pretty good but I could totally see why it was called false lash effect on the second coat as this makeup makes the lashes look like a false pair - it's really weird!
The colour is Black of course and it looks so thick and frames the eyes really well, I can see why they loved it now even thought it is very expensive it is worth the money for the effect it has definitely!
The only thing I thought was difficult is that the outer edge doesn't taper in like on most applicators so it could be a bit more difficult to get to the outer lashes without smudging it, but once I had learnt how to handle the wand I was fine - it just took practise.
The mascara wiped off easily as mine is not waterproof although I did see a waterproof version in Boots recently with a blue band around the top...
This stuff is brilliant and I can see what all the fuss is about so I think it definitely deserves five stars for ma factor's new mascara :)
Summary: Hope I get given another one! ;-p
