WHAT IS IT? Lipstick from Max Factor, it is from the Lasting Colour collection from the Lipfinity range. APPLICATION Application of this lipstick is very good because it has got a very rounded end to make it appear and feel like a bullet. It is a very creamy lipstick and the colour applies to my lips smoothly. The round shape makes it harder for me to apply without using a lip pencil first because I usually use the point of the lipstick to shape my lips. I am using the shade Raisin right now and it is a dusty pink colour, I have to apply 2 coats to get a deep colour but that is easy to do and the coats do not even need to be blotted thoroughly in between. WHAT I THINK I like this lipstick very much. The shade is perfect for daytime wear and suits my skin tone because I am quite pale so pinks are best for me. It lasts longer than other lipsticks in a similar shade and longer also than other Max Factor lipstick. It is not a very strong shade but the colour lasts for at least 5 hours and then it fades gradual so I don't have to reapply immediately. It feels comfortable to wear and is not greasy on my lips, it remains creamy even after I have been wearing it for a few hours. It bleeds a bit but that is why it is important to use a lip pencil, I have seen that it only bleeds towards the end when it has started to fade and if I reapply my lipstick before that point it won't bleed at all. This lipstick isn't shiny but I always apply some clear or pink lip gloss over the top for more shine, it is not matte but has got a creamy appearance instead of a glamorous shine. I would wear this lipstick to go out at night if I was having bold eye make up because it is a good shade for playing down my lips while I go darker with my eyes. ANYTHING ELSE Lasting Colour lipstick is available in several shades including nudes and brighter colours. The full size lipstick costs about £7 but a lot of times Max Factor offer beauty bags free when you buy selected products and a mini lipstick is usually included. 4 Dooyoo Stars.
I am a self confessed make-up addict, the best part of shopping for me is browsing through the cosmetic counters in Boots and Harvey Nichols. My favourite cosmetic items are lipsticks and foundation, two of the essential products I think a girl needs in their make-up bag. Recently, make-up artists have ditched the eye make-up and just applied foundation and lipstick to models on the cat walk. Make-up artists have been using strong solid colours that make people focus on the lips rather than the eyes. Wearing strong eye make-up and lipsticks can look too over the top so applying one or the other is usually the best option and something most of the best make-up artists on the runway have been doing for the past month or so. The Maxfactor Colour collections lipstick have a really nice range of colours. Ranging from corals to baby pinks. You are bound to find a shade that would suit you. The shade I purchased was pink brandy. It's a red lipstick with a tint of pink which looks really summery and warm. What I love about this shade is you can dress it up or down because it's not the typical rouge what you could only possibly get away with wearing on an evening, it is versatile. For people who have lips that aren't in the best condition, for instance those who have dry, chapped lips or tend to have dry lips in the winter it is a great product for them because it is drenched in moisturising properties. Once applied your lips instantly feel soft and hydrated. Its as though your just wearing a chap stick. The lipstick comes in a black case with the Max factor logo in gold writing. Although the packaging is basic compared to some of the premium brands in the cosmetic market i think its really suits the max factor style. It looks elegant as the case is in black with gold writing and isn't too fancy which matches the price of this which is only £7.99. Which is fairly cheap compared to some lipsticks selling in depaterment stores and the major cosmetic websites. The lipstick is highly pigmented. Therefore giving great definition to the lips. I have naturally very dark lips but this manages to cover my own lip colour which isn't the case with most lipsticks I have used even some of the more expensive premium ones which haven't managed to block my own lipcolour and have just sat on top of it making the colour look fairly unattractive. So the lipstick has a really good coverage so especially good for those people like me who have dark lips and find it hard to find a lipstick that will cover the colour of your own natural lip colour. The durability of this lipstick is average, it stays on a good 2-3 hours without need a touch up. Which isn't too bad and probably something most women would expect from a lipstick after eating and drinking and so on. Overall, Max Factor provide a really good product once again. The lipstick colours are fantastic with excellent coverage at a great price. I definitely would use this lipstick again.
So many lipstick brands and colors, but I'm giving a big thumb to this Max Factor Lasting Color Lipstick. Beauty experts say that if you want a lipstick that lasts longer, you must use the one with matte finish. But glossy lipsticks are the ones mostly used now. I was so surprised that this lipstick really lasts longer, but it has a sheen finish. Lustrous on the lips. Max Factor Lasting Colour Lipstick conditions my lips too. When I feel like having a retouch, I just have to press my lips together and it's done. This lipstick releases fresh color. Really amazing. Price: £5.87 I use the English Rose shade for a lighter hue. It is economical for me because I don't have to reapply often. The color stays longer than other lipsticks. Of course there are some factors affecting the length of stay of a lipstick on the lips. If you drink more often or if you smoke, any lipstick can fade faster.
Cost: Most places sell this product for around £7.50 - £8.00. Packaging: In a small black twist up lipstick tube. Very stylish lipstick and perfect handbag size! Shades: - Rosewood 833 - English rose - Raisin 894 - Dusky rose - Bewitching What does the product claim to do: Max Factor Colour Collections brings a make-up artist's expertise to choosing your lip fix so you can guarantee a shade to complement your skin tone every time. Choose from a range of moisturising, lasting, skin-flattering shades selected by top fashion make-up artist Pat McGrath. Whether your skin's fair, medium or dark, it's time to say goodbye to that lipstick graveyard in your dressing table for good! How to use: Apply to lips with a lipstick brush or using the stick itself. My opinion: I am a huge fan of Max factor, most of the make up i own is Max factor. Mostly due to the quality and how long it lasts for the price. I have been using the Dusky Rose shade of this for a while now and i can say its a very lovely lipstick. I don't like to wear too much lipstick as i dont feel it personally suits me, but this lipstick feels and looks so light it i really like it. It is really easy to apply using the stick or a brush and it really glides across the lips easily. The only thing that gets me down is that it really doesn't last that long. After about an hour it has pretty much gone. But i have never found a lipstick that lasts more than an hour anyway so i don't let it get me down. I just carry it in my hand bag and re apply when necessary! For the price of the lipstick it would be nice if it did last, especially as it is called a "lasting lipstick". But if you want a lipstick that gives you a great colour and a great pout try it out! My score: 7/10
I own an awful lot of Max Factor make up. I just love it! To me it's definitely one of the best most hard working brands at a reasonable price. After my first use of Lipfinity I've never looked back. I own loads of them in a variety of colours and as far as lipsticks go Max Factor, Lipfinity are the ones I use the most. Though I'm the first to admit they can dry lips out due to the 'ink' effect and are not good at covering imperfections such as dry skin which I have been suffering with in this weather. So when I saw this Max Factor Lipstick I thought it had to be given a go! This is a conventional lipstick which I'm not fond of. I do own a variety of other lipsticks and glosses and try hard to get on with them but always return to my trusted Lipfinity. However this promises 'long lasting colour' so I thought I should give it a go! Packaging.... Navy blue tube with gold MF lettering on the front and a gold rim around it's middle where it pulls into two and you twist the bottom to get the colour out. The lipstick inside is about an inch long and slanted. ON the bottom tells me the colour, in my case Paprika Flame (700) and the label is colour coded and I'm told it's indeed by Max Factor (Procter & Gamble). Results.... Firstly I'm impressed that the colour in the tube actually does correspond to the colour coded label on the bottom which means next time I want to make a purchase I wouldn't feel the need to test it in the shop if I was pushed for time and sometimes I am! Now I tested a few colours out on my hand before purchasing one as it was an off the cuff decision to buy one so I had no colour in mind. The colours are all very sheer in this range. They don't go on thick but do give a lovely even coverage. The colours have a shimmer within them which are made up with really small flakes of glitter. These particles of glitter do not 'flake' off they simply wear off as the lipstick does as the glitter is not heavy or prominent it just gives a very nice shimmer but nothing too 'caked'. Application is easy. It goes on even and very smooth. It feels very moisturising but not overly so as there isn't loads of product on the lips and it doesn't feel one bit greasy. Now as for long lasting is it? Well not really. I always apply, blot, apply and blot again and I'm done. This method of application gives me about one and half hours of wear and then its completely gone. It comes clean off and doesn't wear off patchy and no 'bits' collect at the corners of my mouth or anything (I mention this cos it happens to me alot!). A plus point is it doesn't come off on food and all over cups but on the downside does need regularly applying which as it comes off cleanly really isn't a huge problem you just need to remember to carry a mirror around with you! Overall.... It's not the most long lasting of lipsticks to be honest but I do like it. It doesn't feel heavy, greasy or gunky and is nicely moisturising. It comes off cleanly with tissue or make up remover when you want to take it off. I've found with prolonged usage the overall condition of my lips is a lot better i.e smoother and more supple. I'm very impressed and shall buy it again and again! If you want a long lasting lipstick this really isn't for you though and at about £9.50 a tube isn't cheap but because it's sheer you don't use loads!
