Good foundation at a good price (Max Factor Lasting Performance)

I've used this foundation for a few years now, and would recommend it to anyone. I downgraded to this one having used Estee Lauder and Christian Dior products in the past. At £20 a bottle though these really were too expensive so at half the price I thought I would try Max Factor Lasting Performance as I love all Max Factor products I've tried. It turned out to be a brilliant choice, being a better product than either of the more expensive brands.

Being quite pale I use shade 105, soft beige. This offers me a little colour so I don't look washed out while not making me look like I've been tangoed. I always moisturise before my foundation which helps it to go on better, and it really means you use less foundation too. Max Factor Lasting Performance glides on easily over moisturiser, and doesn't stick too much in my eyebrows or hairline. It blends easily and gives a smooth skinned finish. It also has a lovely scent to match the smooth texture of the liquid.

I find that the foundation does have decent staying power - better than other supposedly long lasting foundations I've tried which have cost a lot more. It will stay on your skin for a full day at work, but if like me you touch your face a lot it takes a concious effort to achieve this!
A bottle will last me for a good few months so I would say it's worth buying this over the really budget brands. At ten punds it is significantly more expensive than the likes of Rimmel or 17 but you really do get what you pay for with Max Factor.

Another thing which I have found this foundation to be brilliant for is helping me to achieve balance with my skin type. I've always had dry and oily combination skin, but unlike others this foundation hasn't been too drying or pore clogging. I find that it is actually good for my skin. If I don't wear it for a few days the condition of my skin will deteriorate.

So overall I've got nothing but praise for this product as it offers an excellent foundation which does what it says at a decent price.
