Advantages: lasts ages, boosts confidence, goes on smooth

Disadvantages: none

I?ve done it! I?ve finally broken out of my cheap make up habit!usually I tend to go for the cheaper things in life. I buy cheap clothes, cheap food, cheap cleaning products and cheap make up. I also improvise with my make up. I?ve made my own concealers in the past and I have make up that has been in my collection for over 3 years. But no more! It started with me being bought a nice expensive mascara by Maybelline for my birthday. But the real breakthrough was this foundation I first saw on a discounted make up website.

I was actually going to buy an even more expensive foundation by Clinique after I had used a sample of it but then there was something about this that caught my eye. So what was it that grabbed me? What was it about this foundation that made me break out of my £2.99 foundation habit? Well two things really? advertising and packaging.

It isn?t often I go for things because of their packaging, however this really does look like it is used by the stars. The real thing that caught my eye was that it is called ?lasting performance?. That is something I consider to be important when choosing my make up as I aren?t one of those girls that spends ages redoing their make up in public toilets etc. I like something that is quick to apply, looks good and will last longer than an hour.

You may be familiar with the advertisements for this. The ones where the make up artist is talking about recent films they have made with this particular make up product. Well this was one of the products although I have to say I have forgotten which film it was used in.

The packaging really is stylish and small enough to fit in your handbag if you do feel the need to take it out with you. However with its lasting power you may not need it when you go out! It has a navy blue top (which is actually at the bottom o
f the tube), and a navy blue bottom (which is actually at the top?confused?). There is also a gold diagonal line separating the blue from the rest of the tube. It reminds me of a sophisticated look?definitely something I?d be proud to show my friends.

The good thing about this ?lasting performance? range is that it has quite a lot of different colours. However the availability of each colour will differ from place to place. I got mine from Tesco and it is the shade 105 ? Soft Beige?my perfect shade. I originally wanted either Ivory Beige or Natural Beige but they didn?t see either of those colours either and the next one up from this one looked too dark and the one below was too light.

Of course when I had got it home I couldn?t wait to try out my latest buy. I was like a little kid again and I loved it! Upon opening it, even if you put your nose right up against the nozzle, you cannot smell anything. That to me is a good sign, as I don?t know of any foundation that smells nice. If it does have a smell it?s usually one like clay or something really disgusting.

The next thing I noticed was that you don?t have to squeeze the tube too much to get the product out because with the lid being at the bottom, the foundation just runs to the bottom. It has a convenient nozzle that squeezes a little foundation out at a time meaning that you won?t end up with too much like you can with some others. I found I didn?t use much either which to me is a good sign because it shows how long it will last.

Applying the foundation was quite a nice experience. It goes on really smoothly and it blends into your skin tone perfectly. It looks natural yet it still covers up imperfections pretty well. I would suggest for big spots, (not a nice subject I know but it has to be mentioned lol), you should also apply a concealer eith
er first or after you?ve applied this.

I have to say I felt really confident after I had applied this. My skin looked healthier somehow, it looked smooth and quite clear even though my skin is quite bad at the moment. I went out beaming with confidence and for once I wasn?t worried about whether my make up looked ok. It really does last like it says it will and it doesn?t seem to rub off on clothes.

It would be great for parties, especially the Xmas ones that you may be going to over the next week or so.

I paid £8.50 for this, which in my opinion is still quite cheap for something so good! It is available in most chemists, some supermarkets and various beauty shops like Superdrug. I would definitely recommend this to potential buyers and just so you realise just how good this foundation is I?ll recap on its advantages.

1)It lasts practically all day
2)It only costs £8.50
3)It?s touch proof
4)It boosts confidence
5)It goes on smoothly
6)There are a lot of shades making it suitable for everyone
7)It feels light when it?s on
8)It makes skin look clear and blends in well

What more could a girl want? So if you haven?t already tried this I?d suggest you go to the nearest place possible and stock up on some for those special occasions!

Hope this op has helped you decide whether or not to buy this product.

Thanks for reading
