Advantages: Actually stays on your lips! Forever!
Disadvantages: Not very sheer, don't like my colour, ugly packaging. Opaque lip colour!
-Availability-
Readily available in boots, ebay, er.. strawberryNet for 7.50?
-Packaging-
Not particularly attractive, sorry. The kind of gold-and-pink with scary odd shaped lid scares me!! And I dont understand why they had to make the lid so big when it could easily be a small, cute, compact product. Guess they're trying to make it look like there is more product than there actually is?
Also looks a bit like a gloss which is why my mom refuses to use it- not very professional looking when you pull out this giant thing in a meeting or something and start kinda smearing it all over...
Mine's relatively new but I can see how the completely transparent thing could get a bit unattractive once you use a bit of it up...
-Does it work?-
Yes- it lasts forever!!! I tried the tester in Boots on my hand prior to purchase and it lasted for 3 days until I finally decided to scrub it off with lots of soap and 5 minutes of my life!
-First use-
After my blip in Boots, I decided that this was a long-lasting lipstick worth getting! So I got it on ebay that evening for a mere 4 pounds as opposed to the store price of 11.50. I got the colour glowing cos it was pink but not overwhelmingly so, and to be honest, I'm not too picky about these things they all look more or less the same when you've got it on as my male friends tell me...
So I got Glowing because I thought- yea, I'm a teenager, I wouldn't mind glowing for a bit.
I got it in the mail, smeared some on (out of line- oh sh** oh sh**) had to fix with q-tip and eye/lip makeup remover after attempt at smearing and making it worse. This lipfinity stuff needs to be done WITH mirror!
I managed to get a few blots to make it a matt yep-this-is-my-natural-lip-colour shade. I would tell you about the moisturizing top coat but unfortuately my friend nicked it before I had the chance to test it out because hers ran out (she also has this lipstick) and she knows I carry vaseline with me everywhere so I might as well do an RAK... sigh
The quickly-running-out-moisturizing-top-coat could become an issue though! But always armed with my vaseline I've survived just fine so you could always just put a lipbalm over it. It won't turn your lipbalm lipsticky like other lipsticks!
I thought this lipstick was really drying and the colour was a bit too old and brown for my taste! I was really annoyed as I did not feel like I was glowing at all!
I tried this on my cheeks, kind of like a lip-cheek stain attempt but it dried too quickly and looked extremely streaky. So don't reccomend doing THAT
-Advantage-
Super duper long lasting! It does last all day! Seriously this is the first lip colour I've used that actually lasted. I've used benetint but it does not last on my lips and this is much more even.
-Disadvantage-
Weird packaging, dries lips out very much (as with most 'longlasting' lipsticks), colour looks weird (on me), moisturizing top coat runs out way quicker than lippie, goes streaky on cheeks!
Also, I've heard that some men like having lipstick all over their faces when you kiss them- like a fetish or something... Ain't gonna happen with this lipstick.
-Conclusion
This lipstick is good for people who don't have a problem with dry lips but DO have a problem with reapplying lipstick (because that really will not be neccessary). This doesn't go on lipbalms, glasses, fairly kiss-proof, doesn't taste like anything, haven't given it a proper whiff but nothing i can smell when I apply it.
Summary: Very long lasting if that's what you're looking for.
