Advantages: Does what it promises

Disadvantages: A bit smeary

I have had my fair share of mascaras like most women but this one by Max Factor is definitely up to the task. I don't have very long lashes and they point mainly away from the eye rather then up. By using an eyelash curler and then the mascara, my lashes look longer and fuller.
Application

The first time I used it I thought it was very smeary and had to apply more than one layer to make it even. By applying it multiple times I got the 'longer look' as the product promises for your lashes but by only applying once the mascara lacked in making my lashes longer and fuller. After a few times using the mascara it got easier to apply because the brush was no longer unused and I found the right technique. Despite this the mascara did perform as promised. All that is needed is a little patience and precision. Some mascaras do tend to lump the lashes together but Masterpiece Max did not do this to my eyelashes even though I put several layers on.

The Product

The packaging of the mascara is, from my point of view, very attractive and sophisticated which makes you want to buy it just for the way it looks. It is easy to hold and the brush doesn't break or bend, which is rare for mascara brushes. but I have come across one before. That was though cheap mascara from H&M and was not a big surprise for me. Nevertheless, the product gave me what I wanted even though the process of getting there is quite the challenge.

The price varies from £5 to £17 but I still think it is worth every penny, because you do get a nice package and longer, fuller lashes in the end. The product isn't waterproof, in fact it runs easily in the rain. It doesn't, however, sting or irritate the eyes. Washing it off on the other hand is not as easy, even using eye makeup remover it tends to stick to the skin around your eyes. This is though easy to remove with some eye cream on a cotton bud.

Conclusion

All in all, I recommend this product if you don't mind spending time putting mascara on in the morning. You will achieve fantastic results with a little patience. If you have sensitive skin around the eyes, however, I would be more cautious about investing in the product due to the abrasive removal technique. Even though I don't have long lashes, by using this mascara, I get the long lashes like the product promises and fuller. Just a few layers of Masterpiece Max mascara makes my eyes look bigger and remove all signs of tiredness. It is exactly the mascara I want on my lashes and I intend to keep using this product.

Summary: It is definitely worth the price
