For me, finding a perfect mascara is like trying to find the Holy Grail - it's just impossible. I always think it's going to happen one day; I'll find that special one that will give me thick, long, fluttery, perfectly defined eyelashes for only a fiver, but it never does. So, in the meantime, I've tried absolutely loads of different mascaras with varying results. The waterproof Maxfactor Masterpiece mascara is the closes thing I've found so far to the 'perfect' mascara. At ten pounds a pop, the price may be a little bit expensive for a cheapo student like myself, but being Maxfactor and a well respected brand, I find myself willing to pay a bit more for a ... I do not really wear a lot of makeup but one thing that I always wear is mascara I have a strange obsession with them and have many tubes of mascara sitting in my make up bag I just cannot help myself when there is a new mascara released promising the world. First impressions I was rather impressed the head of the mascara brush was not too large and this always worries me as I am really clumsy and often end up with big black smudges yet at the same time it was a good enough size to coat my lashes in a few strokes so I am not there all day applying the product. The small plastic spikes are what makes this mascara different and they do seem to work ... Read the complete review

Being that I'm a person that suffers with bad hayfever and sensitive eyes, I have to be careful what mascara I wear as some can make it a lot worse. I have to choose a waterproof one as I would end up looking like a panda most days if not. Over the years I have tried many different makes and designs and whittled it down to liking Benefits Bad Girl Waterproof, which I have been wearing for some time now, so knowing that I was getting low I wondered into the local towns Boots to have a browse at the Benefits Counter. Well talk about being harrassed, I was almost pushed into a chair and having my make-up wiped off for a "New Product", so ... Read the complete review

I think maxfactor usually offers good quality products, and I do agree that this is definitley seen in these mascaras. The, masterpiece range has been the best so far that they have offered. This type is quite a few years old now, as I remember buying it for around £12, but now it retails between £6-£8, which isnt bad at all. The product --> This mascare comes in a lovely, professional looking gold case, with a blue srip on to indicate that it is waterproof. It looks a very luxurious product, which is one of the reasons I brought it. It is only 4ml, but this is a typical size of mascaras - and I still finds it lasts about 4-5 months before it goes a ... I first went on a major mission to find the perfect mascara when I was getting married. I didn't want to wear full false lashes, as I wanted to achieve a natural look, but I had struggled for years to find a mascara that would give me the length I desired...without all the clumps! I personally found volume mascaras were a 'no go' for me. By the time I had run the wand the length of my lashes, trying to draw out the length as much as possible, they had already caused major clumping. This only increased, the more I tried to get of the clumps...Arrgh! I was recently introduced to MaxFactor waterproof masterpiece mascara and I assure you, I will not be looking ...
