Advantages: Works well, not massively expensive

Disadvantages: None that I can see

I first saw this advertised on TV with that unmistakable Memoirs of a Geisha advert (for both the film and this product), and couldn't help but be interested in what it was saying.

On the Boots website, it says 'beautifully framed eyes up to 5x more striking' and I would definitely have to agree with this sentiment. Okay, it isn't the cheapest mascara available on the market but it is definitely worth the price charged for it. The current prices I have found for this are:

Superdrug- £6.80 (down from £8.99)
Amazon.co.uk- £8.80.
Boots- £8.80.

So although Superdrug is the cheapest, it all depends on whether you like collecting your Boots points or not ;)

The packaging of this mascara is undeniably pretty for a mascara tube. It is a pale gold tube with richer gold writing and finish in select area's, and this helps to create a sense of opulance, of beauty. Personally I think it is gorgeous and while it didn't help to sell the product anymore, it is a lovely feature.

Applying this mascara is really easy as well. The wand is sleek, easy to use and isn't as clumpy in the hand as some mascara wands I have used in the past. There is also the feature of that iFX brush. It's unique feature is that it is meant to be small and flexible enough to coat even the smallest lashes and while I was initially sceptical about this, I have to admit that it does work. The brush is flexible, easy to coat in mascara and not overly small or big so you can really work with your lashes for the best effect.

Now there is the little task of mentioning how effective the mascara actually is. I cannot stress how much this works! My lashes aren't small and are quite dark but this definitely amplifies and creates a really dramatic but not OTT effect. It isn't clumpy, and it doesn't flake or turn my lashes into spiders legs. It also doesn't clog up in the tube!

I purchased mine in September '08 and it only recently had to be thrown away (ignoring the hygiene aspect of this, it lasted a long time!) For under ten pounds, I have not found a mascara as good as this one and am more than happy to recommend it to people looking for something new.

Summary: Turn your eyes into art
