Advantages: Easy to blend

Disadvantages: Doesn't last that long

I have relatively sensitive skin and since Boots have changed their No7 brand and i'm too skint to buy Clinique, I have taken to buying Max Factor cosmetics and have been a fan of their foundation for a couple of years.

Since the birth of my daughter, the dark rings under my eyes have become more prominent and I had previously tried Boots No7 undereye concealer which had been relatively effective but was also quite pricey.

I needed a new foundation a couple of weeks ago and Boots had an offer where you got one of these concealers free when you bought a foundation, so I thought I would give it a try.

The concealer is within a pen type applicator. You click the end of the "pen" to push some of the concealer down through the sponge applicator on the end. You then dab the applicator gently under the eye, wait for a few seconds and then blend it in. I found you generally needed to click the pen a couple of times to get enough on the end of the sponge applicator.

The concealer itself is actually quite runny as opposed to the No7 variety which is more splogy (and has a brush on the end of it) but blends much easier. It has light reflecting particles in it to help conceal the dark circles, and as I already use the foundation, it matched perfectly to the rest of my make up.

I did however find that it runs out relatively quickly. You can see how much you have used through the transparent part of the pen, and although i've only had this for a couple of weeks it is below the halfway mark already. The price of the product is approximately £7.00.

It has managed to reduce the the look of the dark circles under my eyes and I probably would buy it again, but only after trying other products on the market.

Summary: Not good, not bad, just blah
