Advantages: None that I could think of.

Disadvantages: Messy, bad packaging, heavy/patchy coverage, worsened skin, full of talc & pabogens, poor value.

I bought this product from Boots last week. I'm unfortunate enough to suffer from hormonal breakouts on my face and wanted a foundation which would be light and non-aggrivating to my skin. As a fan of Max Factor products, Natural Minerals seemed the perfect choice.

The testers were in tiny pots with limited colour choice. As they were all too dark, I took a guess and went for Warm Almond to enhance my tan.

As a newbie to the world of mineral make-up I wasn't sure what to look for and was very surprised to find no ingredients listed on the packaging or stand. However, trusting Max Factor on past experience and reputation I bought it anyway.

Opening the product left me quite confused as to how a decent amount of product could be dispensed from such a small opening. However I shook the jar, dippped in the kabuki brush and lightly brushed the product across my skin.

The powder went everywhere! All over my black dress, bag, up in the air and even on the mirror. Breathing in, I accidentally snorted some up my nostrils! Nice....

The powder felt very caked on and flaky. The colour was patchy but I decided to carry on using it for a week just in case I was doing something wrong.

After just one week only half of the product was left. My nostrils had been attacked several times and I ended up resorting to holding my breath when applying this product! The powder went all over my handbag and the brush hairs started to fall out / get stuck in the screw lid. The coverage was still awful and it still felt really thick and heavy on my skin.

To make matters worse, my skin got worse! Knowing that pure minerals wouldn't do this to my skin, I scoured the internet for the mysterious ingredient list. Allegedly this foundation is full of talc and something called pabogens which aren't too good for you.

I took this straight back to my nearest Boots where they were only too happy to offer me a refund (even without the reciept).

However, I won't let this bad experience put me off mineral foundations... and have quickly replaced it with one which has guaranteed purity. I'll let you know how that one goes...

Summary: Sorry Max Factor, love your products but this is the worst foundation I've ever tried.
