Walking around Boots I stopped at one of my all time favourite make up counters. Max Factor! I adore Max Factor, mainly for the staying power of their products. I trust them implicitly with so many of their products. However I'm very very fair in complexion. I got black hair and I never get any sun and I don't tan but also I've never found a fake tan or a tanning facial moisturiser that doesn't make me look like I've been tangoed, ever. As much as I adore Max Factor I cant trust their foundations. The only one I can use knowing I wont get a 'tide' mark is their Colour Adapt Foundation in their lightest shade and at the minute I've had to stop using their ... Read the complete review

One of my favourite foundations is Max Factor's colour adapt, so when I noticed Max Factor had a new range of foundation - miracle touch - although I was interested to try it, I didn't want to spend any money on a new foundation, as I already have three bottles on the go! Strangely though, a few days after hearing about the new range, a sample of it arrived in the post, so I got to try it after all. ~About the product~ Max Factor describe this product as 'liquid illusion foundation'. Although it looks to be solid, once you touch it with either your fingers or a make-up sponge it turns to a liquid consistency -albeit a thick liquid. It comes in 9 ... Read the complete review

I've always liked Max Factor products, so when i saw this one advertised i though i must give it ago. It comes in two parts the top part contains the foundation, the other contains the sponge, using the sponge gives a better coverage. it's very easy to apply, has a liquid consistanisy, but soon dries to a matt finish, which doesn't feel heavy on your face, i find you still need to apply concealer under the eyes just to cover any dark circles. I've had my foundation since December & still have plenty left, seeing as i use it everyday, which at £10.99 you want to be getting valve for money. The foundation comes in several different ... I tried this when Max Factor were giving away about 2000 of them in a competition and I won one in the Natural shade and haven't used anything else since because the colour is perfect for me and not as dark as it looks in the pot. The pot is good because the foundation is in a see through screw off pot and the lid flips open for the foundation sponge. The foundation is a cream but it goes on with the sponge like a liquid. I like that because I always waste loads of liquid foundation when I squirt too much out onto the sponge or my fingers. This foundation gives a very matte finish and has good coverage. It is not much good when you have ... Read the complete review

01 July 2009 was a very sad day in my life... having scraped out the last dregs of my Clinique 'Perfectly Real' powder compact foundation and going online to order some more - I find it has been discontinued! Disaster! Unfortunately having fairly blemish-prone skin even at the ripe old age of 25, combined with a t-zone so oily I worry about Texans coming to drill on my face, means that finding a foundation which: a) Has decent enough coverage to hide my spots b) Doesn't make my skin react to produce more spots and c) Doesn't slide off my face in 5 minutes flat ...is certainly no mean feat! After hunting around ... Read the complete review
