Advantages: excellent coverage for blemishes and uneven skin tone.

Disadvantages: never use it as a foundation.

I am a little confused, from the blurb on the panstick packet it sounds as though it is a foundation in itself, but it was sold to me as a concealer?

I've just read a review by sharonB on panstick, and i am not surprised that she was miffed. The thought of using it as a foundation is horrible. But as a concealer it is top notch, it is thick enough to cover the tatoos on my face..(only kiding) without drying out my skin. It sits well under ordinary foundation and gives a flawless even skin tone when used like this.

Because it is much wider than a normal concealer stick, it is very easy to apply. You can use a bit on your finger to dab at spots and blemishes, or you can use it to sweep over bad areas that require extra coverage.

I suffer from very dark skin around my eyes, so I usually look like a drug addict.(no joke it's serious) and as i've got older it's got worse.

Until now, I have never worn 'proper' makeup, because I didn't have a clue how to do it. Sounds silly I know, so the most I used was a lightly tinted moisturiser.

I decided to be brave and ask for help. I picked the max factor counter because the assistant looked much less scary than the other perfectly groomed reps who were stalking around looking rather intimidating.

After confessing that I didn't know my arse from my elbow when it came to makeup she fixed me up with the right shades, the right products and the right techniques.

The panstick was part of this package. So if any of you are looking for a good concealer, then get this, it's thick creamy and will cover a multitude of sins, in fact it is brilliant. It will last you for ages because its such a big stick, and it only cost 50p more than the ordinary concealer.

But please don't use it as a foundation....unless you're mad.

Pan stick was the original theatrical make-up. It *can* be used on its own as foundation, but it's about the hardest thing there is to apply successfully. I hadn't thought of usuing it as concealer, so that's a most excellent tip.
Beware that it has a high mineral oil content though; which means it'll make good concealer for dark circles & broken veins, but definitely not for spots. It's also less highly pigmented than 'proper' concealers, but, again, would be great if you find those a bit 'much'.

I know what you mean about dark eyes, no matter how much sleep I get (its generally a lot) I always have dark circles and look like I haven't slept in a week and I'm only 17!
