Advantages: not sticky

Disadvantages: colour does not really show up

I normally steer clear of lip gloss. The reason being I have long hair that I wear loose. Add in a windy day and you end up walking down the street trying to pull off strands of hair that have got stuck to the gloss on your lips and you end up looking like a complete fool. So I do normally stick to lipstick, a much safer option.
I became interested in this after reading in a magazine that it was very smooth and not at all sticky. This piqued my interest because although I dislike lip gloss for the sticky feel on the lips (plus the hair thing), I actually I quite like the reflective glossy look it gives. So I thought I'd try it. I went to Boots and found there were about eight shades in the range, one red toned one, one brown toned one, and the rest varying shades of pink. I choose the shade called Pink Satin, a dark pink.
The tube is clear so you can see what colour you have picked up and it has a gold lid. Inside there is a sponge type applicator, which I prefer to the brush style because I find them easier to control, find spreading the product evenly more easy and a sponge applicator, unlike the brush ones, don't have 'bristles' that clog with product.
Unforrtunately, the colour whilst looking v pretty in the tube didn't really show up on the lips, the glossiness was apparent but the colour of my lips remained much the same. On the plus side it did live up to its non-sticky claim, my hair no longer seemed magnetically attracted to my mouth, but as with all lip-glosses, I was always aware of it on my mouth.
This item is available on the Max Factor stands in Boots and Superdrug and other chemists. I think it cost me £7.99.

Summary: buy if you want a plain gloss appearance with no colour
