Advantages: It stays on for around 6-8 hours with no need for reapplication.

Disadvantages: Dries lips even with balm

These lipsticks were recommended to me by a friend initially. I was sceptical that they would stay on, as I have tried all sorts of lipsticks that claim all sorts of miracles... and none ever seem to be true to their word. However, I was pleasantly suprised by these, and can honestly say I have never looked back since my first! Whenever I need a new lippy, it's this brand or none at all. I have probably had about 10 of these so far in all sorts of different shades. They range from delicate sheer shimmers, to opaque pastels, and stunning brights. My latest indulgence was "Red Passion", a scarlet red for maximum pout appeal!

They go on like a lip gloss - a liquid consistency applied with a wand. This dries within around 30 seconds. Then you apply the super balm, which is just like a clear lip balm, adding some moisture to your lips and gloss to the colour. I find that if you run out you can use any lip balm and the colour won't budge.

I wouldn't say the colour lasts completely for 16 hours. I usually re-apply after about 6 hours just because it tends to crack a little. You could get away with it though. If you don't take it off before bed it WILL still be there in the morning, and luckily doesn't transfer onto pillows, sheets, etc.

Pricewise, it is excellent value. These are available for around £8 at Boots or Superdrug. Okay, they aren't the cheapest but they do work. Over 12 hours I would say it should be applied twice, compared to 6-8 times for a regular stick lipstick. You definitely get your moneys worth. Also, I recently found them for £2 each at TG Hughes (Bolton). The colours were on trend too - I got a nude tone, and a hot pink!

The only bad thing about this lipstick is that I find it very drying on your lips. For this reason I wouldn't recommend it for everyday use. The balm helps, but I don't think it is a complete "cure". For this reason, I have given it 4 stars, otherwise it would have been 5 because they really do work!

Summary: Fantastic product in a great range of colours but unfortunately not recommended for everyday use
