I have previously mentioned in my reviews that I am a big fan of the maybelline make up range, and I have always been impressed with the range and quality of their products, which are usually reasonably priced for a high street brand of makeup, especially when on offer! Recently, after needing some new makeup, Boots were offering 3 for 2 on their maybelline range, and after picking up a couple of things I was out of, I needed a third item, which was when I noticed this Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstain, a product I have previously never noticed before. Now, I usually don't buy a lot of lipsticks or gloss products as my lips seem to get irritated ...  Read the complete review

I am not really a fan of lipstick, I will wear it on a night out, but I mainly feel stupid wearing it, it doesn't suit me. So I tend to stick to lip glosses, but I have noticed that lip gloss does get boring after a while. And as I brought a gorgeous new going out dress, I wanted to have a nice new lip colour product to wear with it, as I was thinking a light red, and I saw a new Maybelline lip colour, the Colour Sensational, which looked really different (it was a lip pen) and had some really nice colours, and could be easier for me to wear then lipstick. The product is a pen, which has a pull on cap, which is quite tightly secured on, and can be difficult ...  Read the complete review

I was looking for something a little different from my usual lipstick or lip gloss when I came across Maybelline colour sensational lip stain. I have seen these type of pens before but never actually got around to trying one for some reason. In Boots where I bought mine there were a few other makes and variations but I decided to go with Maybelline as it was a reasonable price and seemed to have the colours I liked. ***THE LIPSTAIN*** The lip stain comes in a plastic tube much like a chunky marker pen which is colour coded to the choice of colour you make. A useful idea that I like as at least you can see at a quick glance which one is which ...  Read the complete review

Much better than lipstick! (515 words)

I really like wearing lip colour but I'm not a big fan of lipsticks, i'd rather stick with lipgloss or tinted lip balm because I feel like they're easier to apply and when I've had a few drinks they're less likely to end up on my chin! :P I decided to give the maybelline lip stain a try because I wanted a bolder colour that would last longer and would be suitable for a night out. I chose colour 480 'Shy Red' which is a deep rosy pink. The first thing I should point out about the lip stains is that they are not like lipsticks or glosses at all, they dont use a brush, wand or stick to apply but instead when you pop the cap off they look almost exactly like a ...  Read the complete review
