No maybe about it for me - maybelline is a keeper (Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara)

I am usually quite a sucker for any new mascara that comes on the market and promises bigger, longer and thicker lashes but nearly always go back to the original maybelline mascara in that famous green and pink tube.

When they brought the colossal volume express i was desperate to try it out and rushed to boots to buy it.

I don't think that it is the nicest looking mascara around, it comes in a yellow tube and the screw top has a cone shape and the words are written in purple, i think maybelline likes to use bold colours!.

What it delivers

It does make my lashes thicker but you do need to use more than one coat and it is best to apply both coats before the first has dried as once is dries an extra coat can make the lashes look like spiders legs!

I also found that it made me lashes appear longer and the colour which was black was a strong black.

The brush that comes with it is the usual brush size and not any of the new shaped ones.

It did deliver on the no clumps, even when for a night out i applied three coats it still did not clump and my lashes stayed seperated

It also does not go hard as some other mascaras can do and i found that even after having it on from morning until night it didn't flake or wear off and leave me with panda eyes!, and i did find that it was quite easy to remove and i didn't need to drag my eyes while doing it

The size of the mascara is 10.7ml and even though i wear it almost everyday and often with two coats it has lasted me a long time and has not dried out in the tube

It can be purchased in department stores, chemists and supermarkets and costs approx £6.50.

if you shop often at boots, they often give you vouchers which can be used for maybelline.

Summary: A great mascara that no make up bag should be without
