Clumping for all! (Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara)

Advantages: Volumised and curled eyelashes for a long time

Disadvantages: Clumpy! Shape of bottle made it awkward for storage

What is it?-
This is a mascara from Maybelline called "The colossal volum' express mascara". It retails at £6.84 from Boots and you could also find this is other shops like Superdrug.

Maybelline is a company which also sells cosmetics and other related products such as nail polish and moisteriser which are averagely priced when it comes to cosmetics at drug stores.


Packaging-
This mascara comes in a glossy yellow tube of "10,7 ml" size which gets considerably thicker towards the middle, I don't like this as it tends to make it awkward sitting in my mascara/eye liner pot, though it does look nice. It has purple glossy writing on it which one the back says; "Colossal volume - in just one coat. No clumps".

Overall the packaging seems to be well thought out, with a standard brush and screw top lid.


The product-
When I applied this I noticed I needed a little more effort to actually get the product onto my eyelashes compared to other mascaras I'd tried, the brush is actually quite big and I (although this could be because I'm clumsy!) kept getting mascara over my eyelids. The product has quite an odd smell to it which I didn't really like either.

After I applied the mascara as best I could and left it to dry, I noticed that my eyelashes did appear longer. However I noticed a lot of clumping.

The mascara also curled my eye lashes a lot more than other mascaras have done, and it also stayed curled for quite a long time, which again I have a problem with in mascaras.


What I thought-
I thought this product was nice if you can find a way to avoid the clumping, it curled for a long time and did make my eyelashes look considerably longer. A product worth getting if like I said you can find an un-clumping device.

Summary: Good if you can find a way of un clumping.
