I was bought the cool effect eye shadow pencil for christmas so I am not too sure on the price but I have read a couple of other reviews which put it around £3. The product is from the maybelline range and is described as a cooling effect eye shadow / liner. The colour I was bought is called steely gaze which is dark matallic smokey grey colour and if you have read any other reviews I have written you will find that these types of colours are very popular with me. I also have the colour called snow bunny which is a shimmery white and I believe that there is quite a variety of colours so there should be something that will please most peoples tastes. It is ... Maybelline Cool Effects 'Cooling Cream Eyecolor' is an eyeshadow with a difference. There's no little pot... there's no applicator... just a dinky little squirty tube! The tubes themselves are tiny - probably only 4cm long, and they have a pointy, black plastic screw-top lid to them. They're made of clear plastic, which is certainly handy as it means you can immediately see the colour of the product through the packaging - no having to find a tester to see the colour, or guessing from the little sticker on the bottom of a pot. Cool Effects eyeshadows come in a range of eight different colours. * Cold as Ice * Cool Blues * ... Read the complete review

These are cute little squeezy tubes of cream that claim to cool and soothe your eyes as you apply them. I chose a lovely sheer sparkly colour called 'Cold as ice' and it provides just enough coverage without looking havey, just enough sheen without looking odd and vaseline-like. You only need a teeny tiny dab of the stuff, so even though they are small tubes, it will last for absolutely ages. The cream did feel nice and cold when I applied it, but this feeling wore off very quickly - I think this is more about selling a gimmick than any lasting effects of soothing the eye area. Still, it did feel nice and tingly cold and it reminds ... Read the complete review

This product is one that you should definitely buy, if you are thinking of it. It looks good, has variety and is good value. It comes in two different forms: liquid (in a tube) or solid (pencil stick). I have both, and personally prefer the pencil form as its easier to apply (less messy) with the same results. There are quite a number of colors to choose from, so there's basically something for everyone. I have 3 different colors: the champagne color (bronze), brown and blue. All the colors are not matte, they are shimmery. It depends on whether you're after a shimmery color. Shimmer can be young and sexy - if thats what you're looking for. Anyway, ... I first tried this great eyeshadow a few months back when i was going out for the evening and i wanted a gold colour eyeshadow to match what i was wearing. The Maybelline Cool effect eyeshadow was the first one that caught my eye and i ended up buying the Nougat 05 colour which is very very gold! It comes in a small compact tube and contains 7.5 ml which is enough to last for absolutely ages. I have used it almost every day for nearly 3 months and i still have plenty left. This means i still have money for other things that i need! The packaging itself is small and sweet and can easily fit in a purse or a pocket so can be taken almost anywhere with you. ...
