Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse is a bargain buy. Having seen the advertising campaign on TV and seeing it in the make up section of Boots one day, I decided to give it a try. Retailing at about £7 I saved myself at least £20 that would have been spent on the Mac foundation that I usually buy. The first thing that you will notice about Dream Matte Mousse is its light and fluffy whipped soufflé texture and appearance. This allows the foundation to glide easily over the skin. I prefer to use my fingers to apply it as I feel that the texture favours this technique, however you may use a sponge applicator. The mousse provides an even velvety matte ... I purchased this product after a personal recommendation from a friend. The product is a foundation and made by Maybelline, and comes in a fairly wide variety of colours, there should be something to suit everyone. This product appealed to me, as it is a liquid form, and I have dry skin, so I hoped that this wouldn't make it drier like some powders can. The foundation comes in a small round clear glass pot with a beige lid with writing on it to say what is in it. The lid screws off easily to reveal what looks like a dollop of ice cream. It is thick but wet foundation, and I have never really seen a product quite like it ... Read the complete review

Expect to pay between £4 - £6 for a pot of Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse, which is relatively cheap when compared to some contenders within the cosmetic industry. So, do you get what you pay for? The mousse comes in a small glass pot with a plastic screw on lid. The standard size is 18g (keep reading review for more on this!). Although the pot is relatively small, it is worth noting that it is quite heavy, especially if you would carry it around in your hangbag on a night out. Dream Matte Mousse is available in 5 shades; Ivory, Cameo, Nude, Fawn, and Sun Beige, so there should be a shade at least nearly right-on for most. You apply the ... Read the complete review

I've been using this foundation ever since it was first released, and while I have occasionally tried alternative brands, I always return to dream matt mousse. The product comes in a circular glass pot, and is basically a mousse that you apply to your skin. Personally I've found the best way to apply this product is with your fingers, as you can get a very even finish this way, and unlike a lot of liquid foundations, it doesn't make a mess. The end result is similar to a powder, but nowhere near as flakey. I also find the mousse easier to achieve an even seamless finish with. The product comes in a variety of different shades, I personally use the ... Read the complete review

I bought this foundation when it was publicised on the TV as it looked fantastic in the adverts. It's usually on offer in boots and I bought for around £5, which is very good for a foundation. The texture itself is very odd, but once you get past the initial oddness, it's fine. It's best to use your fingers to rub this in, as it is too thick for a foundation brush or sponge. I don't feel this product enhances your skintone, it acts as a kind of mask. For instance, I have freckles, and with a Clinique foundation, my skin is clear but my freckles still show. However, with Dream Matte Mousse, my freckles were masked and my skin looked quite strange as ... Read the complete review
