Advantages: Cheap, covers blemishes.

Disadvantages: Masks freckles, dries out skin.

I bought this foundation when it was publicised on the TV as it looked fantastic in the adverts. It's usually on offer in boots and I bought for around £5, which is very good for a foundation.

The texture itself is very odd, but once you get past the initial oddness, it's fine. It's best to use your fingers to rub this in, as it is too thick for a foundation brush or sponge.

I don't feel this product enhances your skintone, it acts as a kind of mask. For instance, I have freckles, and with a Clinique foundation, my skin is clear but my freckles still show. However, with Dream Matte Mousse, my freckles were masked and my skin looked quite strange as you could almost see them through the foundation! It's too thick and doesn't allow your natural skintone to show through.

I also found this product very drying on my skin. I would frequently have dry patches around my nose, cheeks and forehead. I found that you couldn't really mix the foundation with moisturiser as the texture changed and it was too difficult to rub in.

Overall, I don't think I would recommend this product to anyone with freckles or naturally dry skin. Yes it's cheap, but Rimmel do some excellent liquid alternatives to this product. I think it's too hyped up and there are other foundations which can complete the job better!

Summary: This is cheap, but not the best quality.
