Matte Mousse-its a keeper. (Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation)

Ok so I went to town recently and discovered that the foundation I have been using for years had been discontinued. Marvolous. So I reluctantly bought a new one, heading straight to the Maybelline counter as thats a fav. There was an offer on the Dream Matte Mousse so I decided to try it.

At first I found it very odd applying a mousse where I would normally have a lotion. Yet it was remarkably easy to apply and blended in really well. I didnt get any streaky jaw-line horrors and found I could put more around the dark eye areas without it looking messy. I really liked how easy it was to apply and more importantly how quickly I got the even finish. My only complaint with the application is that since I use my fingers it got stuck down my nails! Of course Im sure there are easier ways to apply this foundation but as of yet I haven't found it.

I have dry/combination skin and found that this foundation managed to hide any oily bits and not excentuate my dry bits equally. Again its not perfect, towards the end of the day it feels a little mucky or heavy and of course most of it has disappeared but then Im yet to find a foundation that can last all day despite their claims!

The foundation also seems to be lasting well, I bought it a few months ago and theres lots left (although Im not an everyday make up girlie).

To sum, I really like this foundation. Its not as good as some lotion types I have previously used but I would certainly use it again.

Summary: Would buy again.
