Advantages: Good rang of shades, good coverage of spots and breakouts, low price, no need to reaply

Disadvantages: Can be slightly drying for the skin, doesn't last as long as some foundations.

I first bought this product a few months ago, as I couldn't find my normal foundation and it was on offer. It costs around £6-£7 in most good chemists which makes it one of the cheaper ones on the market. However, I don't think it provides the best value for money, as it didn't last very long, about six weeks using it daily. Compared to how heavy the pot feels, there isn't that much foundation in it. However it would last all day, and I didn't often feel the need to reapply it, even when I wanted to go out in the evening.

I felt the product had a thicker texture than most foundations, it really is a mouse, not a liquid, which takes a bit of getting used to, because of this, I felt it required more blending than some foundations to get a natural effect. I used the ivory shade, which is the palest, but there are five different shades, so most people should be able to find a match. I did feel this wasn't a perfect match for my skin, but having a pale complexion, and freckles, I felt it was better than a lot of foundations.
I found I got my best results with this product using a foundation primer first, and pressed powder over the top. It is quite thick on the skin, I don't think it's for people wanting a natural effect, but it does provide good coverage for shiny areas and breakouts. For this reason, I would recommend it most to people with problem skin. It's a bit drying for me in some areas, but one of my friends who also uses this product says she doesn't get this problem.

One of the good things about this product is that, being in a pot, you can judge the right amount to use, rather than squeezing out too much, as I often do with liquid foundation. The pot also means it's safe to put in a bag or suitcase, without worrying if it will end up being all over everything, because the lid's not on properly.

Overall, I would recommend trying this product if you are on a budget, although it's not right for everyone it does really suit some people. I would buy it again if I couldn't find my favourite foundation, or if it was on offer.

Summary: Good product for some skin types, but doesn't suit everyone
