Advantages: Smooth, even coverage, and easy to apply
Disadvantages: makes dry skin look worse
There was a time when all i wanted from a foundation was something that was easy to apply and when i went in search this seemed brilliant, a mouse that didnt need a brush or a sponge but couldnt be rubbed on with fingers - easy as you like.
This is it, for those who love an easy to apply or need a quick morning routine this is the foundation for you.
It feels soft and creamy but as it says in the title like a mouse, that almost disappears as its applied. The foundation comes in a good variety of colours and once applied is long lasting so if you are going out after a full day at work etc it could take you from day to night with maybe only a slight touch up needed. The foundation provides full even coverage and works for most skin types to provide natural fresh looking skin with a matte finish so you dont even need to add a powder.
The foundation comes in a small round pot, which looks nice, closed with an easy screwable lid, although the colours aren't particularly buyer friendly, as i dont feel brown is something that appeals to people, especially if this is something they need to carry round, but you can see where maybelline are coming from as there range of mouse products have colours that reflect what the container holds. This helps though in terms of picking the foundation as the different shades are reflected in the lids.
Once the colour is on the skin it blends in naturally, the colour seems to come out slightly lighter then what it looks like in the pot but works well on the skin to colour match.
The pot looks small but lasts a very long time as you dont need that much because it blends a long way and for only £7.69 - (boots) its worth the money.
I have some dry skin though and after a while started to realise this wasnt helping as it was sitting on top of the skin, making it look caked on and making it look worse which is the only problem have with it, and the reason i think people with the same problem should avoid the product.
Other than that i would recommend it, its been a really good foundation to me as it provides full coverage without being too much - that is until my skin failed me.
Summary: good foundation depending on your skin type
