Advantages: Easy to blend, a little goes a long way!

Disadvantages: Can be a bit pricey (but should last ages)

I've not usually an avid user of cream blushers and have used the powder varieties for years after being a bit too heavy-handed on my first foray into cream blushers, which left me looking more than a bit sunburnt in the cheek area. However, I was a bit shocked to discover that my usual Bourjois powder blusher had been living in my make-up bag for well over eighteen months. I'm not very well up on when make-up items should be thrown out but even I was moved to chuck it out. With no alternative blusher to hand, I had to use my Mum's blusher, which was this one.

***Application***
From my previous experiment with mousse/cream blushers, I already knew that less was more when it comes to these types of blushers. A very small amount of blush is all that is needed to create a healthy glow and the colour tends to be more intense than I'm used to with powder blushers. It is easy to apply and basically just involves rubbing it into your cheek area to blend it - very quick and simple, and probably easier to blend than a powder blusher if you misjudge the amount that you need.

***The Results***
Overall, I look pretty healthy after applying this to my cheeks. Even if I wear little or no other make-up, I have a rosy enough glow to avoid looking too pale and washed-out. I am very tempted to get some of my own once the purse is willing again. My previous blusher was Bourjois anyway, so the price is probably going to be similar to what I would have paid for a replacement of that.

***The Price***
At Superdrug, a pot of this blusher costs around £5.86 at the moment. I can't find it on the Boots website to check the price there, but it's likely to be roughly the same (maybe a bit more expensive though).

Summary: This has promptly been added to my beauty wishlist!
