Being a huge fan of the Maybelline Dream Mousse range anyway, I was thrilled to see the other week that superdrug had this range on 3 for 2. Needing blush and foundation anyway, I began to look around for a third item. Eventually I chose the dream mousse concealer, as it was priced the same as the blush, around £5 for 30ml, and so I wasn't paying any more should I decide it wasn't for me.

The concealer comes in several shades, and most shops seem to have testers so that you can match one to your skintone before buying. The range of colours in the Maybelline range seemed very good, and I would imagine that almost everyone would find a suitable one for them.

The mousse is of the same texture as the other products in the range- basically mousse like, which makes the product less messy to apply, and easier to control amount- you don't end up getting far more out than you need, and thus wastage is much less. I personally apply this product with my fingers, and find this gives a very smooth finish, but I guess you could also use a sponge. The product dries to a light powder effect, which is weightless on your skin, and looks very natural. It is also quite light, and so doesn't seem to clog up the skin so much as other concealers I have used.

I guess the ultimate question is does it work? I haven't used it to cover anything major, but have found on minor blemishes, and below the eyes, this product works just as well as any other in this price range. The mousse texture makes it much easier to apply, and gives you the freedom to control the amount so much better, that the overall effect is much more natural than with other brands I have tried.

I would buy this product again, even as a stand alone purchase, as I feel that all things considered, it is great value for money.
