Doesn't live up to it marketing (Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid)

Advantages: Reasonably cheap

Disadvantages: Very hard work to apply and the end result isn't really worth the effort

The product has been heavily marketed with the main selling point being the air brushed, poreless finish it will achieve. It was on offer in Boots so I decided to give it a try.

The first thing I noticed was the lack of smell! Many of the Maybelline products I have used are quite heavily scented, but this one didn't really smell of anything.

The foundation was light and smooth, however it was very hard work to apply and it took me quite a while to blend the product in to get an even finish. I found that although I felt that I had applied a generous amount, it still didn't give me very good coverage and I needed to apply more to get the kind of coverage I expect. Applying more foundation made it even harder work to get an even coverage.

I didn't feel that the (eventual) finish looked airbrushed, especially close up where it was really obvious I had had to apply lots and lots of foundation! I don't have big or open pores so I can't say what sort of impact it may have for those of you who do have big pores.

The foundation didn't last the day and was very blotchy and my face was shiny by the afternoon, even though I had used a good quality powder over the top.

Summary: It may not be that expensive, but it's money that would be better off spent elsewhere!
