Great foundation for dry skin! (Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid)

Advantages: Lasts well, doesn't dry out your skin, good coverage

Disadvantages: It's easy to pump out too much product

I have very dry, fairly sensitive skin and bought this after trying and not getting on well with the dream matte mousse, also from Maybelline. This foundation works so much better for my skin type than the mousse did.

The mousse sat on top of my skin, flaked, and made it even dryer than it is normally. By contrast, this satin liquid sinks into the skin (but doesn't disappear!), thereby giving a much more natural look. It lasts long enough to get me through a night out or a day at the office without needing to touch up or put powder on top.

Coverage is good to very good, and doesn't look too heavy or fake, but my undereye circles are very dark so I do need to use a concealer in addition to this.

It's difficult to use the pump to get just enough of this product out as you really need to use surprisingly little. If you don't press the pump very slowly and deliberately you'll end up with too much which will just have to be thrown away on a tissue. Although it's not an expensive product it's still a shame to waste it so watch out for that.

This is a lovely foundation if you have dry skin and are looking for a bargain. If you have oily skin, I'd imagine you'd be better off with the dream matte mousse.
