Advantages: gives that airbushed look, inexpensive, easy to apply
Disadvantages: not a huge range of shades
My mum got me this foundation a while ago when I was in hospital with my son and ran out of foundation. I know you dont need foundation in hospital but foundation, eyeliner and mascara are kind of my staples for every day, my confidence really suffers without them.
I hadnt used this particular one before and am always skeptical when trying out new foundations. Im nautrally quite pale and occasionally even the palest shades make me look a tad orange. The shade of this is light porcelain, im not sure if there would be a paler shade to suit me without going in and checking them out which i probably do once I'm out of foundation.
Looking on the boots website it does come in 7 shades which I dont think is a huge variety, there doesnt seem to be the shade i used anymore, the lightest seems to be ivory which I'd definilty try.
On my face it does come off a little orangey, not hugely but I wouldnt feel confident wearing it until summer when i get a very light tan (i dont tan well apart from on sunbeds which I dont use anymore after realising the risks). The reason Id try it again (if I got a lighter shade) is my friend uses this foundation and having sat with her while she applies it it really does look airbrushed (just from applying via fingertips). It appears smooth on my skin but the orangey hue spoils the look. If i do use it i need to use a lighter powder on top to make it look natural.
The foundation has a pump nozzle making it easy to get out the amount you need. The foundation itself is quite liquidy but easy to apply either via makeup brush, sponge or fingertips. I prefer to use my fingertips so i can fully rub and blend it in.
You can pick a tube of this up at Boots for £7.99, having seen the effects of it when on the right skin tone I would say this a great price. I'd definitly reccomend trying it on your face or inner wrist before purchasing though.
Summary: A good foundation if you can find the right shade for you
