Advantages: Long-lasting colour and shimmer, easy to apply

Disadvantages: Bit more expensive than other eye shadow brands

I purchased one of these eye shadows in the 02 seashell shade, which is a shimmery golden colour. The lid is clear (as you can see in the above product photo) so you can easily show what the shade is.

Application
This was one of the mono eye shadows and doesn't come with an applicator. I usually just apply the eye shadow with an eye shadow brush. When you apply it, it goes on easily and doesn't take a whole lot of blending to easily cover your whole eyelid. I often find that I need to make two separate applications of the eye shadow to each eyelid, but this is still pretty quick to do.

The Colour
This particular eye shadow is a golden shade that shimmers when it catches the light. This appealed to me as I'm not a fan of dramatic eye shadow shades for daytime use, and wanted something that was subtle (but not too subtle).

Staying Power
The colour stayed on throughout the day, which impressed me a lot. I am all too used to eye shadows that fade considerably as the day wears on and leaves you with nothing, but this was different. The eye shadow was still visible by the evening, although I did need to touch it up a little in the late afternoon as the colour had faded ever so slightly in the outer corner of my eyelid.

The Price
This eye shadow is available at Boots from £3.25, and £2.49 from Superdrug.

My Verdict
This eye shadow is a bit more expensive than some other brands (especially depending on where you buy it from), but in my opinion it is worth paying a bit extra for the quality. With some of the cheaper brands that I have used in the past, the colour fades within an hour or two and I would constantly have to reapply to maintain the colour, so I was pleased that this was not the case here. The colour (and notably the shimmer) lasted for hours, although as I mentioned earlier in the review, the outer corner of my eyelids was the first area to fade. This isn't very noticeable though so you can get away with not touching that area up if it's not convenient.

Summary: Worth paying a bit extra for, although it isn't too expensive
