I have tried many different mascaras over the years including this Maybelline Full and Soft mascara which is one of the ones I am currently using. It comes in three basic colours, black, brown/black and navy and I have it in the black/brown as this suits my colouring the best.
The tube is 7ml and it is a blue tube with a screw top which is easy to unscrew. The top can get a bit clogged up as do most mascaras but a quick rinse under the hot tap will sort this out. The brush at the end of the wand is 2½ centimetres long and has quite a chunky wand which is easy to use. I have found that there has always been enough mascara on the brush by just taking it out and I haven't needed to pump it before use which can get air in the tube so the mascara dries up quickly.
It has never clumped on my eyelashes even though it is quite a thick mascara and it does a good job of separating the lashes which I think makes them appear more natural. I would say that my lashes do appear more a lot thicker than when I am using others brands. This mascara is hypo-allergenic and fragrance free so should be suitable for most skin types and I find that it removes easily with make up remover or make up wipes, and best of all it is waterproof so it does not run or smudge even at the end of the day.
I last paid £8.95 for this mascara which is still the current price, however Boots and other stores have usually got some sort of promotion on such as 3 for 2. This is a good quality mascara which makes my eyelashes look thick and long and I would definitely buy it again.
Maybelline Full n Soft mascara is, in my opinion, an average product. I usually quite like Maybelline products, especially their mascaras but although this one isn't the worst mascara that I've used it isn't exactly great either.
I bought it last year to take on holiday and thought as it was by Maybelline it would be an okay purchase. I didn’t want a too bold dramatic type of mascara and I thought that going by the packaging, this one looked plain enough to be a natural looking product rather than a heavy false eyelash effect mascara.
Well, I wouldn't say it’s anywhere near a false lash and really I would prefer it to be a little more noticeable.
What I really don’t about this product is the brush which I think is too thick to use easily. I actually find it quite cumbersome.
It’s not a too bad mascara for daytime use when just a touch of this on the ends of my lashes is adequate but when I want to apply a couple of coats when going out for the evening I think it takes too long to obtain the desired effect with this particular mascara.
Also the mascara itself tends to be a little clumpy and thick.
Overall, I wouldn't say that I hated it but I wouldn't bother buying it again. I much prefer a thinner and more tapered brush.
The manufacturer’s claim that Full n Soft boosts volume and is clump free. I wouldn't really agree with these claims as I have to wipe the brush against the top of the container to wipe off clumps before using.
I believe I purchased this mascara from Superdrug. I can’t remember how much I paid although it would probably have been around the £8 to £10 mark.
I chose a black shade of mascara.
Another makeup I inherited after my mum didn't like it is this Full N Soft Mascara by Maybelline...
She gave it my in its wrapper which said £6 on it and was just a cardboard sleeve with the mascara stuck onto it.
The write up says thick + healthy lashes plus with vitamin E to help nourish and help prevent lash loss. It all sounded a bit stupid to me but I got it for free so though I would try it!
The tube is black with silver writing on it and a sliver lid to match.
I thought it looked cheap for a brand name more like a Collection 2000 product that a designer label...
When I pulled out the applicator it is a really big wired wand about one inch long and quite thick until one end that narrows off, I suppose to make it easier to apply to the smaller eyelashes.
The shade is Black of course, lol, and is very gloopy and thick on the wand. My mum who gave it me said it was very thin and clumpy so it must have thickened up after being in the atmosphere...
I love eye makeup as I only have small eyes so it is great for opening them up and emphasising my eye colour and I don't mind what makes I use either.
Maybelline's Full N Soft doesn't seem anything special. It does clump on the lashes and the brush is so clumsy it is really hard to coat my eyelashes as it is so bulky for a wand.
It is ok for free but I wouldn't buy it unless it only cost a couple of pounds.
It does come off easily with eye makeup wipes and stays on well and didn't give me panda eyes so I would say it deserves two stars and no more because the packaging is cheap and so is the product's quality :(
