I'm one of those women who won't leave the house without mascara on. I've worn mascara every single day for about 10 years now, I even had my L'Oriel long lasting mascara in my overnight bag both times I went into labour! And yes, I gave birth wearing it. You can imagine how much money I've spent on mascara over the last few years so I've been looking for a cheaper alternative to my usual L'Oriel which costs £11.29. In Boots a couple of weeks ago I spotted a mascara which was in a funky metallic blue tube which looks much trendier than the basic black tube my usual mascara comes in. Unusually for mascara, this tube is attached to a ... Read the complete review

Oh I do love trying out new products and Maybelline products are always welcome in my makeup bag. I've usually buy Maybelline Full 'n' Soft waterproof mascara but as usual with me, advertising works and I wanted to try the new One by One mascara. I must say I didn't buy a Maybelline mascara last time and regretted it, instead I bought L'O'Real Lash Arcitect and was very disappointed indeed, it was and is the worst mascara I have ever used and it cost me nearly 9 quid to find out that I could have lashes that spiderman would proudly don as his legs! Anyway I'm happy to say this is not the case with this little ... Read the complete review

I am one of those people who sees a new make up product advertised on the TV and just has to try it out, but when I bought this mascara, for once, I'm glad I tried it! It's Maybelines new(ish) one by one lash discovery mascara, and it claims to lengthen and define every lash with the revolutionary new 'mini brush' It comes in a sleek grey tube, and is available in two colours, black or brown (not a great selection I know, but the most common colours worn I suppose). The brush is very small and skinny, and is perfect at getting to those lashes that you normally miss, or smudge your mascara trying to coat them. I found it very ... Read the complete review

As I am nearer 50 than 40 my eyelashes have suffered years of abuse. Not only by using cheap mascaras when I was young but also using false eyelashes. I remember that when you took them off you were always left with tiny clumps of dried adheshive. When you tried yo get it off you use to pull out some of your eyelashes in the process. I also know that I didn't always use the best eye make-up removers especially if I wore waterproof mascara. Although for quite a few years as my income has improved I did start using Max Factor mascaras which I was quite happy with until I discovered Maybelline Lash Discovery One by One. I highly recommend it especially to people ... Read the complete review

I've been using this mascara for around three months, so it's probably about time to retire it if you believe what the magazines say about discarding you make-up after a few months. But anyway, the mascara comes in a thin, stylish silver and grey tube and has a much smaller brush than normal which is one of it's main good points. The brush means that it's easier to apply it with than with the normal brushes and there's less chance of getting it all round your eyes! It's also possible to coat all your eyelashes rather than just the ones in the middle which makes your eyes look wider. The actual mascara is a good texture which goes ... Read the complete review
