Advantages: Curls your eyelashes, Slim managable brush, Has waterproof version

Disadvantages: Very little product inside

I admit, I have dabbled. Searching for the perfect mascara for my stubbornly straight eyelashes. Everything from Collection 2000 to Lancome. I've made mistakes. EXPENSIVE mistakes. A £36 YSL mascara takes a big chunk out of a 13 year-old girl's Saturday job income, I'll have you know!

I was expecting this new Maybelline one to be the same as the others - useless, went straight into a drawer with all the other mascaras (I added it up and the total of all my mascaras? A grand total of £127!). But nope, I bought it, not expecting much, and... wow. It isn't a miracle-worker but it curled my eyelashes, seperated them and left no clumps. More than I can say for all the others, and for £6.49!

It's a brilliant mascara at a even more brilliant price and unlike all the other mascaras which claim to curl your eyelashes, has a slim easy-to-handle brush. I wouldn't be without it!
