Maybe Maybelline, definitely not for me (Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara)

Advantages: cheap, good brush, good colour coverage

Disadvantages: needs 2+ coats, flakes, not long lasting, clumps

Maybe Maybelline? I recently tried this mascara as it was on promotion although I would normally choose a more expensive brand (Lancome) as I do not believe there is a saving in using cheaper usually inferior products although often try the odd one that is being 'talked up' or on a very good promotion. Unfortunately this product has not changed my mind and it leaves much to be desired from a good mascara.

I am used to getting excellent coverage on one coat - Stiletto takes 2-3 coats for the coverage and effect I like just for the day. Evenings and night time are a different matter entirely but this product simply clumps after three coats so is totally unsuitable for anything other than work.

Which brings me onto the second down point: it is not the longest lasting mascara by far. It begins to flake off after a few hours (work is 8+ hours out of the house) and finding little black flecks on my cheeks was not pleasant.

Touching up throughout the day or topping up to go out in the evening is no go due to the flaking so that the new mascara clumps with the flakes making, well, a horrid mess that made my eyes quite sore.

I will use this up for work but not purchase again so maybe Maybelline - definitely NOT for me!
