Advantages: Easy to apply
Disadvantages: Doesn't cover my skin well enough on its own
I first bought this foundation about a year ago when all the mineral based products were starting to appear on the market and thought I may as well join the crowds and see what all the fuss was about!
Being someone with pale skin and not loving the oompa loompa look, I find that shade 2 'rose ivory' suits me well.
I have sensitive skin with quite a few red scars from past spots, together with concealer and foundation, I have found this combination of products gives me a great coverage that lasts until I wish to remove it.
This comes with a handy brush applicator with every pot so there's no need to buy a seperate brush to use it.
There are 2 sections inside the pot, a bottom section where the majority of the powder is kept, and a top inner lid where you pick up the powder from. To dispense more powder into the top section, you tip it upside down (ensuring first that the lid is tightly secured!) and tap on the bottom a few times.
I then pick up the powder from the inner lid using the brush and dust lightly over my face. I find this very easy to apply and not much is needed (as I apply it over another foundation) however I find it makes a bit of a mess of the surrounding area, I am always wiping up powder residue!
I don't find using this product alone gives me 'flawless' coverage as it advertises, however it does make a very good finishing powder for use on top of foundation.
This retails at around £9 in Boots and Superdrug, which to me is worth it anyway, but there is usually some sort of offer on such as a 3 for 2 so I keep an eye out for these and stock up to get more for my money!
Summary: Great as a finishing powder
