Maybelline Express Finish is not a bad nail varnish, it's just that it's not a great one either. I tried it out as I was sick of smudging my nails through being too impatient to let them dry properly. I was quite surprised at how difficult it was to put on. I have tried practically every nail varnish on the market (as my bulging make-up case will prove) and I don't think I've ever used such a gloopy one as this. Okay, I except that you do need to be quick when you put it on because of the drying time, but I still made a right mess of it. I also wasn't that impressed with the finish, it seemed a bit patchy to me and didn't have a nice shine to it. It did dry a lot quicker than a 'normal' nail varnish, but I am still going back to using my usual brand. It may take longer to put on, but it looks better and lasts longer. I did like the shade I had chosen though (no. 68 - a nice lilac colour). If you do like the fast-drying nail varnishes I would recommend that you use a base coat as they tend to be very drying.
