==Why I purchased the product==
Trying my hand at a few different business ideas at the moment and I seem to be failing miserably, where I live you have to apply for a business license and the local police and government officials oversee all of the applications, they only have a certain amount of each business type in a specific mile radius. They do not have English views on competition as we generally view competition as being healthy for business, they believe that only a small amount of a certain type of business should be allowed, they do this to minimise the chances of healthy competition, which is unfair on local consumers as they do not have a wide variety of choice when it comes to buying from local businesses. My latest turned down business venture was importing British cosmetics and selling them at discounted prices, unfortunately there were "too many" other existing companies that offered the same, unfortunately I am yet to find one. The local shop sells budget make up which you could purchase from England for under £2.00 and they somehow get away with charging well over the odds for the same product. I bought a box of these Maybelline mascaras from British wholesalers, when I found out I wouldn't be able to get a license I decided to keep some products for myself and then sell the other products off in bulk to local beauticians.

==Product Appearance==
The product itself looks very stylish, it has a modern look and the tube is a standard shape but the colours give the product its smart look. The tube itself is black with gold writing, the mascara wand is a typical shape but when cleaned thoroughly it is a bright yellow colour, I can't understand why they have done this as the colour is never going to be noticed so they may as well have used a dull plain colour. The product contains 6.5ml of product and I find that this lasts me for a couple of months with constant usage. In the lid, which is attached to the mascara wand is where it gets particularly funky; each mascara comes with a battery to "fuel" the vibration of the wand. When you first use this product you have to remove the battery cover, it is very simple to do and you can find instruction on the back of the cardboard packaging if you have any problems. The battery has a good duration and I have found that I have not need to replace the battery before the product runs out which is good as you are not facing additional charges. There is a small button on the lid in which you press to activate the vibration.

==Application of the product==
The product is very easy to apply, you simply untwist the lid and remove the wand and brush the lashes in an upward motion until you have even coverage. The product comes out in the right amount needed so you do not need to spend time trying to remove excess product from the brush. If you wish to use the vibration to extend lashes further, you need to press and hold the button on the side while repeating the action described above. It does feel peculiar at first but you do get used to it, I feel the product is good enough without the vibration of the wand, but it does help create a longer, fuller lash. The product could have been improved if you could just click the vibration on and off instead of having to hold it down when you are applying the mascara, this is what makes using the product a bit tricky for the first couple of goes, bear with it as it does become easier with practise. Overall, my lashes do look longer, thicker and darker I think this is one of the best products on the market at present especially for a "high-street" brand. The product lasts all day but it is better to re do your make up in the evening for a fresher/cleaner finish. In comparison to other Maybelline products I would say this product is leagues above the rest, I have tried many Maybelline mascaras and have been disappointed with many of them, and it's great to finally find one that I get good results from. The product is available in both black and brown the product I have reviewed was the black version.

==Removal of the product==
Normally, I use baby wipes to remove my make-up, however, this product has a bit more staying power. It comes off easily in the shower but if you are wanting to remove it without showering I find that first using a baby wipe and then using a cotton pad with make-up remover will remove any leftover mascara.

==Availability of the product==
Unfortunately this product has been discontinued, so it is unlikely that it can be found on the high street. However, the product is available for between £2.00 and £4.99 depending on where you purchase it from. Many online retailers stock this product, with a quick Google search it will bring up all the retailers in which you can purchase this item from. Failing that Amazon UK currently stocks this product and they offer free delivery with every purchase.

==Rating==
I am giving this product a 5 as even though the product has a slight floor, in that the button could be more efficient if you could turn it on and off, the product achieves a lot and I find that the affects I receive from the product outweigh this problem. I would recommend this to anyone who likes good value mascara.
