Advantages: good range of shades, easy to apply, an almost even coverage

Disadvantages: too expensive for me, maybe a bit too runny,

So I came into a bit of money recently and instead of sensibly putting it in the bank I spent a bit of it on products which I'd usually be unable to afford. What with all the adverts on the telly and in the magazines to do with foundation make up it was my first port of call.

Liquid Mineral Foundations comes in a glass bottle which contains 30ml. It's not the lightest of packaging and I can't help but think that if it was made from something else the actual cost could of been much lower. It has a pump system to get the make up out which, as the name might suggest, is quite runny. I find that because of this it makes the lid quite messy, especially the clear plastic lid.

It comes in a different range of shades, from ivory and porcelain to fawn and caramel so it's likely you'll find one which is close to your skin tone. I am using the ivory option. As I've said it is quite runny. More so than a lot of other foundations. This has its good and bad points.

On the plus side it is easy to apply. The directions suggesting you dot onto your face and blend in using downward strokes. There's also no need to spend ages trying to get a full even covering because it glides on easily without being too sticky. In fact it's really light so it's almost as if you're not wearing any. Another positive is that when you come to take it off, it washes away very well without any need for cleansing wipes. No going to bed feeling as though you're still wearing it.

Now for the downsides. Yes it is easy to apply but in places it's as if when blending it in, at the same time you're rubbing it off. So you've got parts of your face which have a nice even complexion and others like you haven't put any on. The fact that it also washes away so quickly suggests to me that maybe it could do with being a bit thicker. On saying that however it does last throughout the day without making you look patchy and it doesn't dry your skin out either.

The price I think is a bit of an issue, for me anyway. £7.82 is a bit steep. It isn't as bad as some brands which charge you a ridiculous £12 but I still don't feel as though it's worth that much. The foundation I usually buy is half that price and it has just as many positives.

Despite that it is a reasonable product. An almost even coverage which gives a natural look and is easy to apply. As to how long it lasts is obviously down to yourself but it isn't necessary to use too much in one go.

Once I've finished using this foundation I doubt I'll be buying some more. The price is too high for me and I don't think, even if I did have a nice amount of money I'd spend it on this.
