... pastel shades. I suppose Maybelline is not the brand to go for if you want bright and unusual colours so I'm not sure why I was expecting hat in the first place. So the roller ball idea was a bit weird... how are you supposed to apply this to your eye with even the slightest bit of precision? I only tired it on the back of my hand and it looked quite messy so I did not even think about purchasing this. Perhaps a cool idea for girls who aren't as fussy as me, but I'll give this one a miss....more

Premium Review Maybelline Roller Colour: what were they thinking?? (212 words)

The idea of having eye shadows in a roller are cool enough for teens who love their novelty stuff... but as someone who likes creating intricate make up looks, this is a big NO NO! As you might know, I love my eye shadows vibrant, pigmented and easy to apply and blend. What I noticed about the powder used in these shadows, is that they are a bit too chalky for me and not near as pigmented as I would like either. The colour range is also very limited (I only saw 6 or 7 shades if that) and all the colours were pretty tame and very light, pastel shades. I suppose Maybelline is not the brand to go for if you want bright and unusual colours so I'm not sure ...  Read the complete review

This eyeshadow has great novelty value and won't spill, so it is a great choice for young, messy teens just getting into wearing make-up. It is also quite glittery, so it would be a fun choice for them. The shade I've got is "On Track Lilac", which is a nice, pale lilac colour with multi-coloured glitter particles which you can only see when you use it. If you don't like glitter stay away from this! I wear contact lenses and this lets the powder out in a well controlled manner so it doesn't get in my eyes and irritate my lenses, which is a big bonus. It was also great to take to a music festival I attended this year as it can't make any ...  Read the complete review

While out shopping the other day I was looking at the make-up in Superdrug, when I saw something new. It was a new eye shadow made by Maybelline so I thought I would give it a go. The eye shadow is called ?Roller Color? It was available in five colours: - Twirling Taupe. Green Twist. On the ball blue. Steel wheeling. Spin around brown. I cost in Superdrug £4.99 for one small tube. I thought I would try ?On the ball blue?. The eye shadow in side was a loose powder; the colour was rich and quite sparkly. It comes in a small plastic bottle with a roller ball in the end. A bit like you get with roll on deodorant. It also ...  Read the complete review
