I have only ever worn false lashes twice, one at my wedding and another time at a party. I loved how they made my eyes 'pop'! In need of new mascara, I wondered into Tesco's cosmetic department. There are so many different types I was spoilt for choice! I opted for Maybelline The Falsies Black Drama Mascara because I was attracted to lovely design. The mascara tube is pinky purple in colour, with a beautiful lace effect surrounding the lid. The name of the mascara is displayed clearly visible in bold black font on the front of the tube. On the back of the packaging there is text stating 'Use spoon brush with this side against lashes' pointing with an arrow ... Read the complete review

I thought I had found my ideal mascara when I first bought Max Factor False Lash Mascara, and there is no doubt I still think it is one of the best high street branded mascara around that I have ever tried. However, recently I was needing to buy a new mascara as well as some blusher which I always get from the Maybelline brand, and when I saw that there was a 3 for 2 offer on the maybelline products in Boots, I decided to try a mascara from their range whilst the offer was on. The mascara that I selected was this Maybelline The Falsies Black Drama Volume Express Mascara which costs just over £8, which is pricey enough for a mascara, but not so bad when you ... I recently wrote a review on Maybelline falsies mascara, which is supposed to give a false lash look effect. I stated at the end of the review that they had brought out a very similar version more recently, this one being called 'the falsies black drama' mascara. As I had recently ran out of this mascara and I do like it, I thought I would buy this newer one, which is also by Maybelline, as it was at an introductory price of £6.19 instead of its RRP £8.19. A couple of dooyoo'ers recommended I try MaxFactor's version of their false lash effect mascara, I did look at it but it was priced at just over £10, and so avoided it simply for the price, as the ... I have been fairly loyal to Maybelline when it comes to buying mascara for several years now - I think it stems from buying the classic Great Lash mascara when I was still at school. I do like their Colossal mascara best but last time I was buying a new mascara I tried the Cat Eyes version, which I really didn't like. This time, I decided to try this; my main motivation being a) I could review it, and b) the colour available was Blackest Black. I do like black/smokey eye make-up, so as far as I am concerned, the darker the better. PACKAGING This mascara comes in a plastic tube which is coloured a vivid pinkish purple. The design on it ... When my old mascara ran out, I decided to try a new product; there was nothing wrong with my old mascara, I just fancied a change. I only chose this particular product because I was buying other products in the Maybelline range, and it was all on 3 for 2 on that day in my local Boots store. Normally, the mascara costs £8.19, but can sometimes be found on offers like 3 for 2 in Boots, other cosmetic stores or supermarkets. The mascara is sold in an 8.2ml tube, which is pink and has a lace black design around the top. The tube has black writing on it, which says that the mascara creates the 'blackest false lash glam look'. The back of the tube also ... Read the complete review
