I am always on the look out for new lipsticks, so when I saw the advert for Maybelline watershine diamonds lipstick I simply had to go out and buy it!! I purchased the lipstick from Boots, it cost me £5.99 for the usual lipstick sized tube. I chose the colour Purple diamonds, which is quite a deep, plumy pink, it looks very dark when you look at the actual lipstick itself, but like most lipsticks you will find that it never looks as dark as you think it will when you apply it. The lipstick comes in a pink, shiny lipstick applicator, with a matching lid. As all lipsticks do, you remove the lid and twist the base of the lipstick, the lipstick then appears and ... I?m not really a lipstick kind of girl. I tend to stick to clear lip balms, after all, any lipstick will only rub off on the hundreds of men I kiss on a daily basis surely? (I wish). But I am susceptible to clever advertising and special offers, as I think we all are if we admit it. I must have seen the advert for Maybelline?s watershine diamonds lipstick a hundred times. You know the one, there?s an impossibly gorgeous supermodel with lips that shimmer and shine. Then in Superdrug my beady eye spotted these lipsticks on special offer, at £4:99 instead of £5:99. Still a bit pricey for a lipstick, but diamonds are a girls best friend apparently, and 5 quid for a touch of ... Read the complete review

After you have read this opinion you're going to say that it serves me right for believing the advertising and you would be right! I have been conned! I saw an advert on my local bus shelter yesterday showing a lady wearing the new Maybelline Watershine Diamonds Lipstick and she looked terrific. At the time I thought I might look out for the lipstick to try it but wasn't desperate to buy some. Today I went into Boots to do some shopping and noticed said lipstick with an offer of 100 extra advantage points if I bought it. I thought that this must be fate so I treated myself. I bought the Sand Shimmer shade, as I'm not keen on ... Read the complete review

I have always been a huge fan of Maybelline products so I definitely buy the newest products out. This isn't the newest but it is a recent addition to Maybelline's wide collection and I love it. There was just the Watershine lip colour before which made your lips look so glossy like water but this one has a different touch to it, diamonds. Diamonds are a girls best friend and they definitely are with this lipstick. There is a variety of shades to choose from any that suit your skin tone, I prefer the darker colours. After minutes that seemed like hours of testing out all of the different shades finally I chose hade 104 Sequin Ruby. This is a red colour ... Read the complete review

I am often sceptical about new products. I have a cupboard full of them and I've been disappointed so many times, that's why they're all still there. I got a sample of Watershine Diamond lipstick because I expected it to be the same tosh as usual. It's quite a mixed bag with this product though. The lipstick goes on very smoothly. It's soft and a bit runny like a lip gloss, but in a stick form. I must say; I quite like that because it's so much more convenient than those bottles and brush and more hygienic and easier than sticking your finger in a pot. When you first put it on (and I'm going on the cherry colour here) the colour is ... Read the complete review
