Advantages: It works
Disadvantages: only after you've opened it and let it dry out a bit!
Having stick straight eyelashes, I rushed to buy this the minute it came out. Hoping for freedom from the tyranny of fiddling with eyelash curlers I tried it out expectantly. I was, to put it mildly, disappointed. Much discussion on various beauty boards on both side of the atlantic ensued, as women from several continents and many nations searched for a way to make this flipping stuff work. Some reported that by using on top of lashes in a downward sweep first and letting that dry, a small miracle would be wrought. Not on my lashes it wasn't (I thought I noticed a small amount of curl with that technique, but decided that was hope triumphing over evidence) Disgusted I threw the blue tube to the back fo a drawer. Many months later, rummaging around for some mascara I came across this and used it in desperation. It worked. Yup. It curled quite remarkably. Not as effectively as a good session with the eyelash curlers, I must admit, but definitely curl. What had happened in those months was that the mascara had dried out quite a bit. When it was new perhaps it was just to wet to set/hold a curl? I don't know. I just know that at first it didn't work, then it did. Fluke? Not at all. I've since bought 2 more tubes with exactly the same results Other than that, the black (the only colour I use) is a good dark shade, it's non-irritating (to me) and a tube lasts an average amount of time, making this pretty good value.
